I am sure that many of you who are sincere and wholehearted supporters of People's Korea have heard cliches such ' Juche is one of them theories that do not work in practice ' or ' self -reliance is all very well but it does not really work ' ( ' I heard it on the BBC/ Read it in NKNews /My uni lecturer told me or my school teacher told me '/ 'the bloke next door said ' etc ,etc ) .
The truth is quite different to these false assertions . In actual fact as a Covid 19 countermeasure , People's Korea actually closed its border on the 23rd of January 2020 . Yes the DPRK has had its borders closed for 2 years and yet it surivives . Many countries , even big ones , would not survive for a few days . Remember the fuss over post -Brexit shortages here !.
In the past few years the sanctions against the DPRK have been racheted up by the US and its puppets on the UN Security Council and yet whole new streets has risen up out of the ground and even a new city at Samjiyon , these are miracles achieved by Juche and self -reliance.
Despite continous sanctions and blockades plus the carpet bombing of the country in 1950s , People's Korea industrialised at a fast rate with economic growth hitting 36 per cent in one year during the 1950s . An advanced socialist society with free health care, free education , low cost public transport , virtually free housing and virtually free food was built . This is the fruit of the Juche idea .
No one can say the Juche does not work !
