London 22nd  March  Juche 109(2020)
The Association for the Study of Songun Politics UK,the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea Study ,the UK Korean Friendship Association and the British Solidarity Committee for Peace and Reunification on the Korean Peninsula(BSCPRKP) issued a statement in support of the statement made by Kim Yo Jong, First Vice Department Director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) concerning  the question of DPRK-US relations :
In her statement Comrade Kim Yo Jong , first department vice director of the WPK Central Committee acknowledges the fact that the US president sent a letter to supreme leader Marshal KIM JONG UN chairman of the Workers Party of Korea and Chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK. A positive appraisal of the letter is given in the statement and gratitude is expressed.
However , comrade Kim Yo Jong warns against taking an over hasty and  incautious approach to the issue of DPRK-US relations warning that "If impartiality and balance are not provided and unilateral and greedy intention is not taken away, the bilateral relations will continue to aggravate." Moreover she stresses that Even at this moment we are working hard to develop and defend ourselves on our own under the cruel environment which the U.S. is keen to "provide.
Thus the DPRK is taking a shrewd and astute approach to the issue of DPRK-US relations . The DPRK is judging the situation as whole rather than just making an analysis based on the letter of the US president . The DPRK is not wasting time or having illusions about the US but it building up its own strength.
If the US really wants to improve relations with the DPRK it should lift the sanctions and end its hostile policy . In the meantime we support the stand of the DPRK to build up its strength under the banner of self-reliance .
