Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un Enjoys Performance for Celebrating Lunar New Year's Day



Pyongyang, January 26 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea, chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and supreme commander of the armed forces of the DPRK, on Jan. 25 appreciated together with his wife Ri Sol Ju the performance for celebrating the Lunar New Year's Day at the Samjiyon Theater.

The troupe of musicians of the State Affairs Commission, the Samjiyon Orchestra, State Merited Chorus and singers of other major art troupes gave their performance.

Performers sang in high praises of the greatness of the Party overcoming every description of ordeals and difficulties facing the revolution, ushering in a new era of miracle and change unprecedented in human history and demonstrating to the whole world the strength and might of the country.

They also sang songs reflecting the profound reverence for and thanks to Kim Jong Un developing the WPK into a mighty guiding force of the revolution and ushering in a golden age in building a revolutionary party and to the Party, and they sang revolutionary songs of the indomitable will and spirit of all the Korean people to follow the path of loyalty indicated by him and the Party until they come to the end of the earth.

The performance ended with a narrative poem, orchestra and male chorus "We'll Travel One Road Forever".

Kim Jong Un mounted the stage together with Ri Sol Ju to congratulate the artistes on their successful performance.

He expressed his warm thanks to the performers for singing songs of the Party with enthusiastic and high artistic ability and for strongly supporting the struggle policy of the Party.

Among the audience were Choe Ryong Hae, Kim Kyong Hui, Ri Il Hwan, Jo Yong Won, Kim Yo Jong and Hyon Song Wol.

Appreciating the performance were working people and innovators of major industrial establishments and co-op farms here, officials and meritorious persons in the fields of scientific research, education and public health here and artistes of major art troupes here. -0-
