People's Korea has a great future going its own way . a great future under the banner of self-reliance , the banner of Juche idea-special article by Dr Dermot Hudson

                                                         

Recently the US tried unsuccessfully to restart talks with the Democratic People's Republic of Korea . It seemed that the US president thought that by sending birthday greetings to the supreme leader of the DPRK . respected Marshal KIM JONG UN , it would facilitate the DPRK's return to the negotiating table . This is wishful thinking and indeed a delusion on the part of the US. The stern response of the DPRK was a statement issued by the advisor to the DPRK Foreign Ministry by Kim Gye Gwan , a former nuclear negotiator of the DPRK which said that "We have been deceived by the U.S., being caught in the dialogue with it for over one year and a half, and that was the lost time for us.
Although Chairman Kim Jong Un has a good personal feelings about President Trump, they are, in the true sense of the word, "personal". The Chairman of the State Affairs Commission would not discuss the state affairs on the basis of such personal feelings, as he represents our state and its interests.
What is clear is that we will never lose our time again, being taken in by the U.S. trick as in the past.
There will never be such negotiations as that in Vietnam, in which we proposed exchanging a core nuclear facility of the country for the lift of some UN sanctions in a bid to lessen the sufferings of the peaceable people even a bit.
There is no need for us to be present in such talks, in which there is only unilateral pressure, and we have no desire to barter something for other thing at the talks like traders ( Statement Issued by Advisor of DPRK Foreign Ministry)
 This statement clarified the just and principled stand , the independent anti-imperialist stand of the DPRK. The DPRK will not indulge in doing business-like deals with US imperialism . Trump probably sees international relations in terms of business deals but the DPRK acts from its supreme interests to defend its independence and its socialist system . The DPRK is not like some trade unions in capitalist countries which did deals with management selling out the interests of members .
                                     

   A special meeting to decide on questions of internal and external policies,  the historic 5th plenary meeting of the 7th Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea  was held from the 28th of December to the 31st of December 2019 . This meeting was attended by all members and alternate members of the central committee of the WPK as well by observers from ministries and institutions so was a bit like a sort of mini party congress of the WPK. At the meeting respected Marshal KIM JONG UN clarified the stance of the DPRK on the issue of dialogue with the US  saying that "that recently the US has been talking about continued dialogue while peddling the issue of the resumption of dialogue here and there, which is just aimed at passing easily the year-end time-limit set by us and gaining time for evading a lethal attack as it now has found itself in a tight corner, without intention from the beginning to withdraw its hostile policy toward the DPRK, improve relations and resolve the problems. On the other hand, the US has openly revealed its provocative political, military and economic manoeuvres to completely stifle and crush our Republic, and this is the double-dealing behaviour of the brigandish US ...we will never allow the impudent US to abuse the DPRK-US dialogue for meeting its dishonest aims but will shift to shocking actual actions to make it fully pay for the pains sustained by our people so far and for the development so far restrained, "
 This is a most militant yet realistic line . The DPRK has not been fooled by the US . The US had entered into negotiations with a most dishonest purpose , they did not want to genuinely improve relations with the DPRK. The real purpose of the US in the talks was to 'do a Libya' and push the DPRK into one-sided ,unilateral nuclear disarmament just like the imperialists did with the former
Socialist People's Libyan Arab Jamahiriya whose leader Colonel Gadhafi scrapped the country's nascent nuclear programme , even handing over its materials to the US , and foolishly believed that the leaders of the imperialist camp such as Clinton, Blair and Bersculoni  were his best friends and would help Libya . The result was that  8 years after unilaterally disarming Colonel Gadhafi lay dead and Libya lay in ruins and had become a slave colony of the imperialists .
   The hidden agenda of Trump and the US imperialists in their talks with the DPRK was not just the unilateral disarmament of the DPRK but the dismantlement of the socialist system of the DPRK. Trump tried to tempt the supreme leadership of the DPRK with tales of prosperity and even videos . In the past the weak revisionist leaders of the the former socialist countries were tricked by the imperialists into dismantling the socialist system . A neighbouring country to the DPRK which says it is building socialism has capitalist rubbish like McDonalds near to revolutionary memorial sites . However the DPRK is guided by the great Juche idea and the spirit of self-reliance , it is led by respected Marshal
KIM JONG UN who,whilst showing a willingness to resolve the issues between the DPRK and US peacefully , saw through the schemes and plots of the US ,not fooled by them in the least by the fake peace of the US .Many filthy , dirty , rotten enemies of Juche  had hoped that the DPRK had hoped that the DPRK-US summits would be the beginning of the end for Juche socialism , that the DPRK would follow the two big socialist countries down the slippery slope to ruin and oblivion , even some friends of Juche Korea felt uneasy and worried what would happen to the DPRK but it remained true to its principles  and did not capitulate.
   As respected Marshal KIM JONG UN said " It is true that we urgently need external environment favourable for our economic construction, but we can never sell our dignity which we have so far defended as valuable as our own life, in the hope of gorgeous transformation."
   People's Korea does not need McDonalds, KFC , Burger King , Starbucks , Coca Cola , Pepsi Cola
or any other toxic and decadent rubbish of imperialism. The Korean nation existed before the United States was even conceived . The DPRK can exist without the USA . Indeed the DPRK has prospered despite almost 70 years of continuous US blockade and sanctions . By applying the Juche idea and struggling in the spirit of self-reliance with gritted teeth , the DPRK industrialised in the late 1950s , its growth rate hitting 36 per cent in one year and flats were built at the rate of one every 14 minutes .The DPRK raced ahead at Chollima speed (Chollima being a mythical horse that could cover a 1,000ri or 400 kilometres in one day , now the Korean people under the leadership of dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN have created a new speed , Mallima speed (Mallima is said to fly 4,000 kilometres per day) . The DPRK also became self-sufficient in grain in the late 1950s.
                           

    Respected Marshal KIM JONG UN pointed out  correctly  at the 5th plenary meeting of the 7th Central Committee of the WPK "The more we bolster up our own strength and create valuable wealth on the strength of self-reliance and self-sufficiency, the greater agony the enemies will suffer and the earlier the day of victory of socialism will come."
   Indeed self-reliance is the secret weapon of Juche Korea more powerful than 10,000 nuclear weapons . Self-reliance will hit the imperialists very hard . Juche Korea now go its own way , the way of self-reliance and self-sufficiency .Upholding the banner of self-reliance , of self-sufficiency and of Juche , the Korean people under the leadership of dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN will build a greater , more powerful socialist country of Juche , a beautiful socialist paradise . The laughter of happy Korean people will deafen the imperialists and drive them to despair ! The DPRK has a great and prosperous future under the banner of self-reliance !
