A HUGE STEP TAKEN TOWARDS PEACE AT THE DPRK-USA SUMMIT MEETING IN
SINGAPORE ON JUNE 12TH, 2018
The
Staffordshire Branch of the Korean Friendship Association and the Stoke
On Trent Branch of the Juche Idea Study Group warm welcome the
decisions adopted at the meeting between the Heads of State of the DPRK
and the USA in the Republic of Singapore, on June 12th, 2018. This
summit has taken the momentous decision to denuclearize the entire
Korean peninsula, which will make the world a much safer place.
For
the first time in the history of international relations, the leaders
of the Democratic Peoples Republic and the United States have met face
to face. The summit between the DPRK Supreme Leader Chairman Kim Jong Un
and the US President Donald Trump has taken the global community by
storm. Due to the leadership of Chairman Kim Jong Un, the DPRK is able
to sit with the USA as an equal and dignified dialogue partner. The
DPRK's policy of building up a powerful deterrent has created the
conditions for peace and stability on the Korean peninsula. At this
groundbreaking summit, the door has been opened for the independent and
peaceful reunification of Korea by the efforts of the Korean people
themselves. The Singapore Summit will be the first step in the process
of beginning an end to the decades of hostility between the Democratic
Peoples Republic of Korea and the United States, and to achieving the
denuclearization of Korea, the North-Asian Region and the entire planet.
Our
organisations greet the agreements made at the Singapore Summit as an
important breakthrough for international security and world peace. We
demand that all kinds of sanctions imposed on the Democratic Peoples
Republic of Korea be lifted immediately and that US military forces
leave South Korea as soon as possible. The Staffordshire KFA Branch and
the Stoke On Trent Branch of the Juche Idea Study Group call upon
peace-loving people everywhere to support the spirit of the
Singapore Summit Meeting and to give their solidarity to the just cause
of the Korean people!
