Association for the Study of Songun Politics UK , the Juche Idea Study Group of England, the UK Korean Friendhsip Association and the British Solidarity Committee for Peace and the Committee for Peace and Reunification ,issued the following joint statement concerning the DPRK's victory at the Singapore summit;
Recently a summit between the supreme leader of People's Korea dear respected MarshalKIM JONG UN and Trump president of the US . A joint statement was signed afterwards.
Overall the summit between the DPRK and US has been a victory for the DPRK .
The US came to the negotiating table because it was afraid of fighting a nuclear war with the DPRK , it was afraid of DPRK nuclear strikes on the US mainland. What is shows is that the DPRK was absolutely correct to pursue Songun politics and develop the nuclear deterrent . It shows that peace is not won by submission .
Basically respected Marshal KIM JONG UN outwitted and out-negotiated Trump who was forced to concede that Marshal KIM JONG UN is a 'tough negotiator " .
The summit was a victory for the Songun idea and Juche Idea .
People should note that the DPRK has not agreed to "complete , verifiable irreversible ,disarmament " . Instead it has stipulated that it will work towards the complete denuclearisation of the Korean peninsula . What this means is that the US should withdraw any nuclear weapons it has in south Korea and also in any US bases in Japan, Guam , Philippines and elsewhere that target the DPRK . Also the US nuclear umbrella for south Korea would be scrapped and also THAAD.
The DPRK has not agreed to disable civil nuclear facilities . This is a key point and one of the reasons why reactionaries are attacking the statement .Our organisations strongly denounce the US and British media against the summit joint statement . Shamefully the media is continuing with its anti-DPRK propaganda.
Establishing a stable and lasting peace regime means US troops leaving south Korea as they will be no longer nessecary .
Contrary to what some people are saying , the DPRK did not agree to change it system or give up the Juche idea .
Lets give the DPRK the support it deserves ! We should realise that this agreement could be torn up or reneged on by the US at any time ( as the US deep state and some liberals are opposed to it ), we will to continue the struggle for a real ,lasting peace in Korea , for the withdrawal of US troops and in defence of Juche socialism !
