Korea was liberated by itself , by the armed struggle led by President KIM IL SUNG

 

One myth we sometimes hear about People's Korea is that "Korea was liberated by the Russians who put Kim Il Sung in power " .

This is nonsense . Whilst the participation of Soviet forces in the final liberation battle is acknowledged the basic fact is that Korea's liberation was the fruit of the armed struggle of the Korean People's Revolutionary Army (founded as the Anti-Japanese People's Guerrilla Army ) led by President KIM IL SUNG . The Anti-Japanese guerrillas endured great hardships and and fought hundreds of battles against the Japanese imperialist aggressors .

President KIM IL SUNG was distinguished as a great guerrilla fighter and was an immensely popular leader . He was a true people's leader and a natural choice of the Korean people to lead the new Korea .
