The British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea and the Korean Friendship Association of the UK (KFA UK ) , issued the following joint statement in support of the statement of the Minister of National Defence , comrade No Kwang Chol, titled " It is the absolute mission of the armed forces of the Republic to defend its security interests from hostile threats of the U.S. and the ROK", that was made on Sunday 10th of August ;
On the 7th of August the US imperialists and their ROK puppets announced that the " Ulchi Freedom Shield " war exercise would take place from the 18th of August to the 28th of August , a period of 10 days . Moreover "Ulchi Freedom Shield " will include armed forces of the countries of the so-called "UN Command " in south Korea . "Ulchi Freedom Shield " will involve live fire drills .
Comrade No Kwang Chol the Minister of National Defence of the DPRK in his statement pointed out that "The Ulji Freedom Shield to be staged under the simulated conditions of a real nuclear war is not only a direct military provocation against the DPRK but also a real threat to amplify the unpredictability of the situation on the Korean peninsula in the state of armistice and freeze the instability of the regional situation."
There is no doubt that "Ulchi Freedom Shield " is a grave provocation against People's Korea particularly as it includes the simulation of nuclear war .
Through the statement of comrade No Kwang Chol the DPRK declares that they will exercises their right of self-defence and take counter-actions against any offensive action by the US imperialists and ROK puppets.
We support the DPRK's right to self-defence !
