Dear Comrade M Jahangir Khan, General Secretary of the ICCSS,
It is with great honour that we receive the invitation to participate in this important seminar, held on the occasion of the celebrations of the 81st birth anniversary of Comrade Kim Jong Il.
The Centre for the Study of the Juche Idea of Brazil, organization founded in June 4th, 2011, has been making efforts to study and spread the Juche Idea in Brazil since then, fact that awakened the interest and enthusiasm of important sectors of the Brazilian left to start treating the problem of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea with more attention.
Besides publishing articles in our website, during all these years we have also published several works of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il in book format; we have organized events in universities and trade unions, and we have had the opportunity to visit the DPRK on some occasions.
On the occasion of Comrade Kim Jong Il's birthday, we would like to highlight aspects
that we consider important to be remembered on this day. On February 16, the Korean people and progressive peoples around the world celebrated with great emotion the 80th birth anniversary of Leader Kim Jong Il. The Great Leader Kim Jong Il was the great continuer of the Juche revolutionary cause initiated by President Kim Il Sung.
Thanks to the immortal theoretical and practical contributions of Kim Jong Il, the Korean people and the progressive peoples of the world could correctly understand the basic principles of the Juche Idea, a fact that decisively contributed to the advance of the revolutionary struggle of the popular masses for their independence.
The leader Kim Jong Il, besides brilliantly theorizing and systematizing the Juche Idea, also formulated and put into practice in a global manner the revolutionary principles of the Songun Policy, transforming the Democratic People's Republic of Korea into an impenetrable fortress of socialism, thus delivering devastating blows against all attempts of interference promoted by the reactionary forces led by North-American imperialism. At a time of confusion and defection, a product of the collapse and fall of the Soviet Union and the socialist countries of Eastern Europe, Leader Kim Jong Il stated loud and clear: "The defamation of socialism will not be tolerated!" His example, decision and firmness in raising high the red flag of socialism filled the revolutionary forces with cheer, allowing the international socialist movement to preserve its strength.
Today, led by the Great Leader Comrade Kim Jong Un, the Korean people continue to successfully promote the revolutionary cause of socialism, achieving enormous successes in economic construction and in the campaign to prevent the coronavirus pandemic. We are sure that the Democratic People's Republic of Korea will continue to stand firm in defending its revolutionary positions, serving as an example for all people struggling for their own independence.
We wish and pray that the International Central Committee for Songun Study continues to expand its ranks, forming a large international family of Juche and Songun followers.
