ASSPUK,JISGE, UK KFA and BSCPRKP support Resolution on Inter-Korean Declarations

The Association For the Study of Songun Politics UK(ASSPUK), the Juche Idea Study Group of England(JISGE) , the UK Korean Friendship Association(UK KFA)and the British Solidarity Committee for Peace and Reunification in Korea (BSCPRKP) issued a joint statement supporting the resolution of the North Side, the South Side and the Overseas Side Committees for Implementing June 15 Joint Declaration which was issued on June 15;
   The resolution notes that the June 15 inter-Korean summit and the June 15 joint declaration was a great event which heralded a new era of peace and reconciliation on the Korean peninsula after years of painful division.It also notes that the Panmunjom Declaration and September Declarations of 2018 not only carried forward the spirit of the June 15 declaration but greatly reduced the serious tensions on the Korean peninsula which were sliding slowly towards war.
  Whilst the inter-Korean declarations of 2018 were great events in the history of the struggle for reunification and peace , much work is needed to implement them . As the joint resolution says 'bold practice ' rather than empty talk is needed to work towards peace , prosperity and reunification. Indeed our organisations note the lack of effort by the south Korean authorities to implement the various measures that were proposed and that they agreed to .
   We support the resolution of North Side, the South Side and the Overseas Side Committees for Implementing June 15 Joint Declaration which calls for increasing the nationwide , all Korea, movement for reunification. It rightly calls for the rejection of outside interference , this is absolutely crucial for releasing the noble aspiration for reunification because outside interference basically blocks Korean reunification . In fact outside interference is the basic cause of Korea's division over several decades.
 We also support the call made for an end to military hostility on the Korean peninsula . Military exercises should be stopped and there should not be the import of military equipment from abroad.
  We wish the Korean people well in their struggle to achieve peace, prosperity and reunification under the uplifted banner of the north-south joint declarations.
