Pyongyang, October 20 (KCNA) -- A series of drone attacks by the U.S.
forces in Pakistan under the pretext of a "war on terror" left eight
innocent people dead and six others wounded on October 6 alone.
Rodong Sinmun Monday in a commentary says it has become clearer that
the "war on terror" which the U.S. claims is aimed to protect people
from the threat of terrorism is human rights abuses and a genocide.
Infringement upon sovereignty by military attacks and killing of
innocent civilians are the worst human rights abuses, the paper says,
and goes on:
It is self-evident that the "war on terror" whereby the U.S. is
inflicting unspeakable misfortune and sufferings on other countries and
nations in different parts of the world is unprecedented state-sponsored
terrorism and hideous human rights abuses.
The U.S. is the most brutal man-killer and the world's worst human
rights abuser. It should be brought to justice for perpetrating all
sorts of human rights abuses in different parts of the world.
The human rights abuses committed by the U.S. under the pretext of
"war on terror" make the international community to look back on the
truth of the past history. It proves that the infringement upon
sovereignty leads to merciless abuse of human rights.
Human rights precisely mean state sovereignty. No human rights can be guaranteed without state sovereignty.
The state sovereignty is guaranteed with the powerful muscle for
self-defence, not with words. It is the only way of guaranteeing genuine
human rights to counter any infringement with powerful force. -0-
