The British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea (BGSJI) and  the  Korean Friendship Association of the UK( KFA UK)  issued the following joint statement in support of the press statement of the Chief of Policy Office of DPRK Ministry of National Defence titled "The U.S.-Japan-ROK military nexus threatening regional peace should be closely watched and deterred":

On July 11, the U.S., Japan and south Korea  waged a provocative tripartite joint air drill by mobilizing various kinds of combat bombers including the strategic bomber "B-52H" in the sky over the Korean peninsula . At the same time a meeting of the chairpersons of the U.S.-Japan-ROK joint chiefs of staff was held . This is a sinister development as well as a great provocation against People's Korea.

The triangular alliance of US , Japan and the ROK is a threat to the DPRK and regional stability

During the past year the US has increased the frequency of anti-DPRK military drills . Moreover the US are increasing the deployment of strategic strike means on the Korean peninsula . They are also roping in their satellite countries into aggressive moves on the Korean peninsula .

As the the Chief of Policy Office of DPRK Ministry of National Defence notes  "Irresponsible acts of the U.S., Japan and the ROK steadily heightening the level of tension and danger on the Korean peninsula should be closely watched and deterred."

The DPRK recognise that the attainment of a strong and reliable military capability is the only way to deter the  US and other enemies of the DPRK .

The DPRK's armed forces will be in constant preparedness to counter the moves of the US and other reactionaries .

We support People's Korea against the aggressive moves of the US , Japan and ROK !

Defend People's Korea!
