Tragic story shows reality of south Korea-special article

A slum in south Korea , the so-called paradise of 'freedom ' and 'democracy'

"SEOUL: The bodies of a North Korean defector and her young son have been found in their apartment, Seoul police said Tuesday, with local media reporting they appeared to have died of starvation.
The mother, only identified by the surname Han, and her six-year-old son were found on July 31, about two months after their deaths, authorities said....Han, believed to be in her 40s, withdrew the 3,858 won (US$3.16) she had in her bank account two months ago, according to the South's Dong-A Ilbo newspaper.
Her monthly rent and gas bills were more than a year overdue, it reported, and there was no food in her fridge when the bodies were found.....Government data showed last year that North Korean defectors were three times more likely to commit than South Koreans to commit suicide, due to trauma, isolation and financial hardships."
Han and her child would still alive if they had stayed in the socialist DPRK .
So much for stories about 'starvation ' and 'hunger ' in the DPRK , so much for the so-called 'freedom and 'democracy'in south Korea !
If Han had stayed in the DPRK she would have had free housing , a job , socialised childcare and cheap food .

a paradise of socialism in the DPRK
South Korea is a really horrible place , a real hell on earth for  this to have happened . President KIM IL SUNG once said those who 'defect ' to the south should be pitied as they will probably end up begging with a tin in their hands. f course some 'defectors' survive and make a lot of money by telling wild lies about the DPRK and working for the south Korean National Intelligence Service . Yeomi Park is a typical example .
What this very tragic story shows is that south Korea is not the paradise of 'freedom and democracy ' that the imperialist mainstream media and some liberals make it out to be . In reality south Korea is characterised by extreme social inequality probably he most unequal society in the world . It is a land where the 'rich get ever richer' and the 'poor get ever poorer' . A south Korea film called 'Parasite' details inequality in south Korea. The harsh reality of south Korea is that it has the longest working hours in the world  and the highest suicide rate . A suicide rate so high that south Korea is known
as the 'republic of suicide' . According to information supplied by the Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front of south Korea in 2016  ' The unemployment rate is over 7% at least. What is more serious is that the rate of the youth is over 20%.
In south Korea, it can cost 600,000 US$ for average to purchase a 2 bedroom flat. In Seoul, it is more expensive.
A worker has to save his income without consumption for over 30 years to purchase the flat.
Normally, it is said that, the cost of living, in Tokyo, is the most expensive in the world.
However, comparing with Tokyo, the cost-of-living index of Seoul is double.
The south Korean authorities provides that the minimum cost of living is 1,398 US$.
But, in reality, the minimum cost of living is 2,800 US$ and half of the south Korean workers have not earned such money.
It means that they have to live on borrowed money.
In south Korea, there are nearly 21,000,000 families. Of them, 17,500,000 families have a huge amount of debt to pay.
It costs 270,000 US$ to bring up a child until he or she graduates the university in south Korea.
But, even if they sell out all properties, the majority of south Korean people have not such amount of money.
The above-said facts reflect the miserable situation for living in south Korea.
Due to the difficulty of living, a lot of people commit suicide every day.
Capitalist society is a hell for working people and socialist society is a paradise for them.|
South Korea does not have 'freedom' and 'democracy' either . Under the 'National Security Law' .which still have not been abolished , communist and pro DPRK activities are banned.
