The Association For the Study of Songun Politics UK (ASSPUK) , the Juche Idea Study Group of England(JISGE), the UK Korean Friendship Association (UK KFA ) , and the British Solidarity Committee for Peace and Reunification in Korea (BSCPRKP) issued a joint statement supporting the statement issued by the Foreign Minster of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK)on Friday 23rd of August;
In an interview with the media , US secretary of state Pompeo , basically threatened the DPRK if it did not carry denuclearisation according the US scenario . Responding to this directly comrade Ri Yong Ho , the Foreign Minister of the DPRK issued a statement which describes Pompeo as a
"diehard toxin of the U.S. diplomacy" .
Pompeo the former director of the US CIA is notorious for promoting US sponsored regime change throughout the world and interfering in many countries .Pompeo is clearly the wrong man to negotiate with the DPRK.
Pompeo has acted in a two faced manner . He visited Pyongyang on several occasions and stated to the supreme leadership of the DPRK that he wanted a new relationship between the DPRK and US . However all Pompeo really wants is the DPRK to be subservient to the US , for it to lay down its arms unilaterally and abandon the socialist system . However Pompeo cannot fool the DPRK or anyone else with his double talking .
Since the June 12th 2018 DPRK -US joint statement was adopted the US has violated it by carryin out exercises in south Korea and by again bringing strategic assets onto the Korean peninsula . This is undermining the peace process.
The DPRK has shown the maximum patience in dealing with the US .The Foreign Minister of the DPRK declared that the DPRK is ready for both dialogue or stand off.
So the US has a choice , either to continue with the confrontational policy or enter to serious and honest negotiations with the DPRK. Should the US choose the option of confrontation with the DPRK then it will face a strong response from the DPRK.
We support the stand of the DPRK and call for the US to abandon its hostile policy towards the DPRK .
