Pyongyang, July 8 (KCNA) -- The whole life of President Kim Il Sung is run through with the love for people.
In his lifetime the President had ceaselessly visited every part of the country, showing warm love and benevolence to the people. His kind image is still now kept deep in the hearts of the Korean people.
At one winter night, the car carrying the President was running for other place after his field guidance to the Yoldusamcholli Plain. But it came to stop at an uphill pass because of frozen road.
So, officials accompanying him suggested asking for inhabitants' help. But he detained them, saying that peasants in that area must fall asleep at their houses, and began to push the car.
Toward the end of Juche 52 (1963), the Political Committee of the C.C., the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), made a decision that the President working day and night should have a rest even for a few days.
Unable to refuse the decision, he left for the rest. When his car was passing through a mountain village, he came to see pupils not wearing overcoats. So, he went back to Pyongyang the next day and called the Political Committee of the C.C., the WPK to propose a solution to the clothing problem for children and students in rural areas.
And he guided a clothing production campaign to supply padded clothes to all children and students in rural areas across the country free of charge.
He continued such journey of field guidance for the wellbeing of the people even in the last period of his great life. The course covered by his journey of field guidance in his lifetime totals to more than 578 000 kilometers.
Indeed, the President was the father of the Korean people. -0
