Int'l Affairs Analyst's Comment on Despicable Behavior of U.S. and West

Pyongyang, September 20 (KCNA) -- Sim Min, an international affairs analyst of the DPRK, issued the following article "The U.S. and the West had better ponder over the catastrophic consequences to be entailed by their despicable behavior":

New war clouds are now hanging over the whole world, due to the U.S. and NATO's evermore reckless anti-Russia hysteria.

According to media reports, a U.S.-Britain summit was held in Washington on Sept. 13 over the issue of lifting the restrictions on Ukraine's use of Western-type long-range weapons. And on Sept. 16, the NATO secretary general said that he welcomed the ongoing dialogues for lifting the restrictions on Ukraine's use of Western-made long-range missiles and that lifting the restrictions is a matter for each country to decide on its own accord.

This is not the first time to have dealt with the issue of lifting the restrictions on the use of Western long-range weapons offered to Ukraine. Anyhow, the U.S. and Britain were closeted over the issue and then the secretary general of NATO expressed the stand for support. This clearly shows that the U.S. and NATO's preoccupation to inflict a strategic defeat on Russia can never change and they are getting more desperate to attain it.

What matters is that the U.S. and NATO are well aware that to lift the restrictions is a very dangerous act like a death sentence, but are voluntarily taking such action. Seized with the incurable megalomania that they can defeat Russia, their strategic rival, they are inviting such disaster threatening their existence without any foresight and any thought of ensuing consequences.

Russia has already sent a clear signal that the lift of restrictions on the use of long-range weapons by the U.S. and NATO would be regarded as their direct engagement in the Ukrainian conflict and that the West should not act rashly if it does not want disastrous consequences.

Anyhow, if the U.S. and its followers continue to resort to such dangerous gambling which may endanger the prosperity, development and peace of mankind in a moment, they will have to get ready to face tremendous disastrous consequences and pay a dear price beyond imagination.

The U.S. and NATO are well advised to recall the fact that the two great patriotic wars recorded in the history of Russia ended after the Russian army completely destroyed the strongholds of aggressors.

The last gambling will only bring a tragic end. -0-
