The European Regional Seminar on the Juche Idea on the theme of “Sovereignty , Independence and New International Relations “ was held on the 8th of September in Sofia city , the capital of the former People’s Republic of Bulgaria on the 8th of September.
Originally it had been planned for the seminar to take place in Helsinki , Finland but the reactionary Finnish authorities ( these days Finland is a puppet state of US and world imperialism ) refused to allow the entry of a delegation of the Korean Association of Social Scientists. The seminar was moved to Sofia , Bulgaria ,which had previously hosted a European Regional Seminar on the Juche Idea in 2019. We are grateful to Bulgarian Juche idea followers for stepping in and facilitating the holding of the seminar .
The seminar was organised by the European Regional Society for the Study of the Juche Idea and hosted by the Bulgarian Group for the Study of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism . Participating were delegations from Austria, Britain , Bulgaria ,Denmark, Finland , Germany , Italy , Romania, Slovakia and also the International Institute of the Juche Idea based in Tokyo . A delegation of the Korean Association of Social Scientists of the DPRK led by vice-president Pak Chol Jun honoured the seminar with their presence . There were also online participants from Britain , Russia , Poland , Germany and from the headquarters of the IIJI in Japan.
The seminar was presided by Prof Matteo Carbonelli secretary general of the European Regional Society for the Study of the Juche Idea (ERSSJI) who welcomed the participants .
The seminar heard a detailed report of work of the ERSSJI by secretary general Matteo Carbonelli . There was discussion on improving the work of disseminating the Juche idea with suggestions about using simple short videos and graphic propaganda as well using Telegram.
Later the seminar was addressed by comrade Pak Chol Jun the vice-president of the Korean Association of Social Scientists who expressed his conviction that the seminar would contribute to the cause of strengthening the struggle for a new independent world.
Speeches were made by participants from Finland , Austria , Romania and Slovakia.
Dr Dermot Hudson, the chairman of the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea made a speech titled “Sovereignty and Independency ,New International Relations and the Juche Idea” in which he said that “The concepts of sovereignty and independence are integral to the great Juche idea that was authored by the great leader President KIM IL SUNG and developed in depth by the great leader Chairman KIM JONG IL “ and that “The Juche idea can and will make a big contribution to the struggle for new international relations based on independence and sovereignty”
Ogami Kenichi , the secretary general of the Institute for the Study of the Juche Idea, joined the seminar via online link and greeted the seminar . His speech was read by a Japanese Juche idea follower .
Noted Russian academic specialist Prof Alexander Voronstov addressed the seminar via online link as did Keith Bennett vice-director general of the ERSSJI.
A letter to the respected Marshal KIM JONG UN ,supreme leader of the DPRK was adopted.
After the seminar there was an excellent reception.
