                 London 9th of December Juche 112(2023)
The Association For the Study of Songun Politics UK (ASSPUK),the British Group for the Study of the  Juche Idea  (BGSJI), the  Korean Friendship Association of the UK( KFA UK) and British Solidarity Committee for Peace and Reunification (BSCPRKP) today issued a joint statement supporting the statement of  a spokesperson for the Korea Association for Human Rights Studies of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK);

The US imperialists and other reactionaries have been loudly banging the anti-DPRK 'human rights 'drum with the so-called 'US Special Envoy ' for 'human rights ' in the DPRK Ms Julie Turner in the vanguard of the offensive.

The 'human rights' offensive mounted by the US under the direction of Ms Turner is nothing but an intrigue , a conspiracy to overthrow the socialist system in the DPRK as the US had done  in the past with the former socialist countries like the USSR.

Basically there is no human rights issue in the DPRK because people enjoy free housing, free health ,free education and the right to work .The people in the DPRK exercise power through the popular democratic electoral system . It is the US that is the worst human rights abuser . It is that the US that is conniving at the violence of the Israeli Zionists against the Palestinians . The US is a society plagued by systematic racism, police violence ,racism and inequality .

Moreover the most important right is the right to independence . Human rights can only exist in an independent nation and not a colony .It is the US that threatens the independence of the DPRK . As  the spokesman of the Korea Association for Human Rights Studies of the DPRK points out 'The greatest threat to the DPRK's provision of human rights is coming from the U.S. hostile policy towards the DPRK, and it is the only way of defending and promoting the genuine human rights of the Korean people to remove all sorts of hostile threats from the U.S. and eradicate the root of the U.S. illegal hostile policy'

We denounce the moves of the US imperialists to overthrow the socialist system in the DPRK using human rights as a lever and support the efforts of the DPRK to defend socialism from encroachment,
