The Association For the Study of Songun Politics UK (ASSPUK),the British Group for the Study of the  Juche Idea  (BGSJI), the  Korean Friendship Association of the UK( KFA UK) and British Solidarity Committee for Peace and Reunification (BSCPRKP) today issued a statement supporting the statement of the Ministry of National Defence of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) titled  "The hostile forces' any attempt to use nuke will face a preemptive and deadly counteraction" which was issued on Sunday 17th of December;

Due to the reckless and extremely bellicose moves of the US imperialists and the south Korean fascist puppet warmongers the situation on the Korean peninsula is deteriorating rapidly. Yesterday the "USS Missouri " , a nuclear submarine arrived in Pusan port of south Korea . This is frontal challenge to People's Korea.

The US imperialists and their south Korean puppets on the 15th of December held a meeting of the so-called 'Nuclear Consultative Group '  which made reference to establishing an extended nuclear deterrence system by the middle of next year . It was decided to include a nuclear operation drill in the  Ulji Freedom Shield in August 2024 . All these actions are dragging the Korean peninsula closer. As the statement of the DPRK Ministry of National Defence points out " This is an open declaration on nuclear confrontation to make the use of nuclear weapons against the DPRK a fait accompli in case of emergency and examine the operational procedures for its implementation in an atmosphere of real war."

The statement of the DPRK National Defence Ministry declares that the revolutionary armed forces of People's Korea will take counter-measures against the threatening moves of the US imperialists and south Korean puppets warning that they will  'face a preemptive and deadly counteraction.'

We support the right of People's Korea to defend itself against US imperialism and the south Korean puppet compradors . We support the statement of the DPRK Ministry of National Defence which is a profoundly revolutionary ,anti-imperialist and  independent one .
