The Sepho tableland embraces the areas of Sepho, Phyonggang and Ichon in Kangwon Province of Korea.
It was so barren that it had been left to be useless for a long time. But now it has been turned into a large-scale stockbreeding base. Tens of thousand hectares of meadow has been created and windbreak, grassland protection forest, pasture roads, drainage canal and reservoirs formed. Moreover, there were built thousands of dwelling houses, public buildings, livestock sheds and veterinary and anti-epizootic facilities with integrated computer manufacturing system and veterinary and anti-epizootic system and a livestock products processing base
In September Juche 101(2012) the respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un conceived a plan to build a large-scale stockbreeding base on the Sepho tableland in order to fully solve the food problem of the people.
After the start of its reclamation in December that year, he took measures for the entire Party and the whole society to powerfully push ahead with the project and as a result, the reclamation of the grassland of more than 50,000 hectares was finished in one-year time.
Afterwards, he took all necessary measures to supply trucks, tractors and other vehicles and equipment and sent books on grassland creation and good-breed domestic animals. He also taught how to create grass fields and build a stockbreeding base at the same time and ensured that zoo-technicians and breeders were trained according to a well-thought-out plan.
Under his guidance, the inauguration of the stockbreeding base in the Sepho area was declared on October 27, Juche 106(2017).
