Pyongyang, December 9 (KCNA) -- The Secretariat of the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of Korea issued on Friday information bulletin No. 988 as regards the south Korean authorities' smear human rights campaign against the DPRK.
It said:
The puppet group has recently cried out for "earlier enactment of north's human rights act" while issuing "white paper on human rights" and holding "exhibitions" and "film festivals". It instigated the ultra-right conservative group and defectors to the south to tour the whole of south Korea and foreign countries, to kick up an anti-DPRK human rights campaign.
Some time ago, the group took the lead in working out a "resolution on north's human rights" at the UN General Assembly. It even brought the issue of "sending family members" of human scum to the south up for discussion on the international arena.
It is ridiculous and shameless for the south Korean puppet group dare to find fault with the dignity and system of the DPRK and launch a human rights ruckus against it.
The group's persistent moves are prompted by black-hearted intentions to assuage the public discontent with its total domestic and foreign policy failure, economic bankruptcy, people's destitution and corruption as well as divert elsewhere people's criticism of it and justify its confrontational moves against fellow countrymen.
The group patronized human scum who fled the DPRK after deserting his family for his own sake and egged him on to take part in the anti-DPRK smear campaign. It only shows the miserable plight of the group.
Finding it unable to attain its sinister intentions with war and confrontation policy, the group hatched a plot to defile the international prestige by taking the advantage of the U.S.-led imperialists' human rights offensive. This is, however, as absurd as trying to get the sun eclipsed by palms.
These moves will bring it nothing but bitterer wrath and denunciation from all Koreans and worsen north-south relations.
The people of the DPRK will never tolerate those who slander its dignity and system.
The south Korean group had better mind its own business and worry about its destiny at the deathbed, instead of taking issue with others' human rights. -0-
