Pyongyang, December 9 (KCNA) -- It is urgent to foil the reactionary offensive of the imperialists with the revolutionary one in the light of the desire of the popular masses for independence and the requirement of the prevailing situation of the revolution, says Rodong Sinmun in a bylined article Friday.
The imperialists' reactionary offensive has been typified by the military threats and blackmail, economic disturbances, creation of illusion about capitalism and bourgeois ideological and cultural poisoning, the article says, adding:
Those countries which took steps back, failing to stand against the imperialists' reactionary offensive are suffering from bitter political chaos, serious social contradiction, disputes and disturbances. The imperialists try to make those countries their colonies.
The present international situation shows that the failure to foil the imperialists' reactionary offensive will entail tragic results.
The world progressive people should see through the weakness of imperialists and frustrate their reactionary offensive with the revolutionary one.
It is impossible for those weak in military strength to win in their just stand-off with the imperialists keen on aggression, war, domination and interference. Only strong self-defensive capabilities can help fight off any military attack by the imperialists.
The anti-imperialist independent forces can certainly foil the reactionary offensive if they rise up in unity.
