On the 28th of November at 1800 hours the Korean Friendship Association of the UK (KFA UK ) together with the Association for the Study of Songun Politics UK(ASSPUK) and the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea held an online meeting to mark the 5th anniversary of the Hwasong 15 ICBM test . Participating were KFA UK officials , activists and members of KFA UK , the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea and ASSPUK from London , West of England , Staffordshire and other parts of the UK . Also participating were officials and members of KFA Greece , KFA Switzerland and KFA Bulgaria .
A representative of KFA Switzerland ,referring to the recent successful test of the Hwasong-pho 17 ICBM in the presence of respected Marshal KIM JONG UN , said that the imperialists cannot disarm People’s Korea .
Dr Dermot Hudson Chairman of KFA UK and Chairman of the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea said in part that “Five years ago on the 29th of November 2017, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea tested the Hwasong -15 Intercontinental Ballistic Missile under the guidance of the dear respected leader Marshal KIM JONG UN , an ever-victorious iron-willed brilliant commander who guides the successful defence building of the DPRK and is defying US imperialist pressure and diktat .
Although since then the DPRK has tested even more powerful missiles, the Hwasong 15 ICBM was a watershed moment because it basically completed the process of the DPRK becoming a nuclear power and an ICBM power . The DPRK had raced across the ultimate nuclear finishing line with credit” and concluded that “The DPRK is absolutely correct to rely on itself for its defence and not entrust its destiny to others . The DPRK will not be a bargaining chip for others.”
Comrade Alan Bolon , KFA UK Organisation Secretary , head of KFA UK West of England branch and editor of “People’s Korea Today ‘ read out a speech titled ‘ For Defence “ which said “The American state government, by murdering thousands of innocent people in Iraq, under the pretext of an imaginary threat to world security by a nuclear weapon that was not actually found, the American government destroyed the sovereign Iraqi country in a bandit attack. The capitalist strategy was to gain control of billions in profits and one of the world's greatest reserves of oil. Such action in the case of DPRK could not be successful and could not even be started.
The DPRK has never attacked any country in the world for the first time in world history. But retaliation against the American attack would be immediate and devastating. This is why 'Hwasong - 15' is not only a physical weapon, but also a psychological defense of this country. And this is what the American imperialists know.
It is worth emphasizing that success in the missile test is not only a military success in the sense of defense, it is a success for the entire independent economy of Peoples Korea . A ballistic missile is a complex system of mechanisms that work together in a variety of systems. From the mechanical mechanisms of the engine to the electronics. It is all made of many composite materials and special hundreds of materials and composites of rare metals. All of this has been produced one hundred percent in DPRK by the domestic industry and is a great success in the economic field in terms of self-sufficiency. A representative of Staffordshire KFA UK said that the test fire of the Hwasong 15 ICBM was a great victory for the DPRK and an application of Songun politics.
The general secretary of KFA Greece said that “ The Korean People not only ignored these petty attempts to make them stray away from Socialism, but kept their hold over the banners of Songun and Juche even more vividly, with adamant passion and kept improving their country, but also managed to surpass new milestones in their pursuit of perfecting their self-defense and their efforts of safeguarding their sovereignty, by successfully launching their second successful Intercontinental Ballistic Missile, the Hwasong-15."
A KFA UK member from Yorkshire sent in a short paper which concluded with the following ‘For that reason, I close by repeating my initial hypothesis: That the DPRK nuclear weapons program is the ultimate vindication of the Juche Idea.
Long live the DPRK, and long may its nuclear arsenal keep its people free from the shackles of capitalist imperialism”
There were questions and discussion on different topics such as the meaning of the word Hwasong and the self-reliant nature of the DPRK national defence programme.
The music “We will kill the US imperialists when they attack us - 미제가 덤벼들면 죽음을 주리” was played .
