Product of Ignorance and Benightedness Bereft of Even an Ability to Distinguish Matters

 2022.3.6.

Recently, the Defense Minister of Japan picked again on our important test for developing a reconnaissance satellite saying that it is a “threat to the peace and security of Japan, the region and the international society” and a “violation of the UNSC resolutions”, while asserting that it is a “launch of a ballistic missile”.

To state the conclusion first, this is clearly the result of ignorance and benightedness bereft of even an ability to distinguish matters, obsessed with its inveterate repugnance, prejudice and hostility toward our Republic.

Our test this time is an open and aboveboard test conducted under the phased plan for developing a reconnaissance satellite.

Even at this moment, the U.S. and other hostile forces are perpetrating espionage acts against us while keeping a close watch over the whole Korean peninsula on a real-time basis by mobilizing huge assets of reconnaissance information including reconnaissance satellites.

Especially, Japan clamored about the need of reconnaissance satellite of its own as if it got an opportunity when we had launched a peaceful artificial earth satellite in 1998. It has been operating 7 spy satellites since its first launch in 2003 and is attempting to establish a reconnaissance satellite system consisting of 10 reconnaissance satellites in the future.

It is an open secret that its main purpose is to make preparations for aggression on the Continent at any moment by strengthening espionage on military movements of our country and other neighboring countries.

Whatever we launch, Japan has neither justification nor qualification to criticize the matter that belongs to the sovereign rights and internal affairs of ours.

As we have already clarified several times, all of our measures relating to the exercise of the right to self-defense do not inflict any harm on the security of the neighboring countries.

Japan should clearly know that the more it picks a quarrel with us on each and every case, the stronger our people’s hatred towards Japan will only grow.

Any attempt to violate our self-defensive right can never be tolerated, and Japan will certainly pay dearly for that.
