He was accompanied by Kim Yong Nam, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK, Choe Ryong Hae, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee, vice-chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and vice-chairman of the WPK Central Committee, Pak Pong Ju, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee, vice-chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and premier of the Cabinet, and other leading officials of the Party and the government, members of the Party central leadership organ in Pyongyang and officials of the Party Central Committee, power organs, the Cabinet, working people's organizations, ministries and national institutions.
Accompanying him also were the leading officials of the armed forces organs.
Placed at the statues of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il were a floral basket in the name of the Supreme Leader and a floral basket in the joint name of the C.C., WPK, the WPK Central Military Commission and the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and a floral basket in the joint name of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly and the Cabinet of the DPRK.
The Supreme Leader, together with the accompanying officials, made deep bows to the statues in token of his high respect and best wishes for the immortality of the great leaders.
Then he entered the hall where Kim Il Sung lies in state.
He paid a tribute of the New Year in humblest reverence to Kim Il Sung.
