The Association For the Study of Songun Politics UK(ASSPUK),the Juche Idea Study Group of England(JISGE),the UK Korean Friendship Association(UK KFA) and the British Solidarity Committee for Peace and Reunification on the Korean Peninsula(BSCPRKP) issued a statement in support of the joint appeal adopted by the conference of of the government, political parties and organizations of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea held on Wednesday 23rd of January 2019 :
The appeal hailed the New Year Address of dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN and stressed that it represents a bright path for achieving peace,prosperity and reunification on the Koreaan peninsula ,
The appeal called for firstly , implementing the north -south joint declarations , secondly , for eradicating military hostility , thirdly , for expanding co-operation and exchange between the north and south of Korea and fourthly, making a proposal for peaceful reunification ,
We believe it is particularly important to oppose joint military exercises which are totally unnecessary and run counter to what has been agreed ,. We believe that no more military exercises should go ahead this year,
We support the joint appeal as it is makes a significant contribution towards a lasting peace on the Korean peninsula and peace .
