Pyongyang, December 21 (KCNA) -- The "Liberal Korea Party" of south Korea which is pushed out of the trend of history towards peace and prosperity is loudly advertising its new "policy towards the north" to seek a way out.
Making foolish remarks about "denuclearization and peace", "economic cooperation" and "co-prosperity" which it has never spoken before, it claims that "this proved itself to be a political party to replace the present one as it has shaped a blueprint for peace on the Korean Peninsula" and that "it will reflect modified contents in its constitution and rules".
This is nothing but part of gimmicks to further incite the confrontation between the north and the south under the pretext of the nuclear issue and prolong its dirty political remaining days by winning the mindset of the people with its honeyed word "peace", out of its concern that if it persists in its conservative and cold-war policy, it may be further isolated and rejected.
However, the public in south Korea are sneering at such a farce of the conservative group.
In the past, the conservative group dashed along the road of treachery, driving the inter-Korean relations into a catastrophe with its sinister "policies towards the north" such as "denuclearization, opening and 3 000 dollars", "confidence-building process" and a "great opportunity of unification".
Still now when the inter-Korean relations and the situation on the Korean Peninsula have greeted a turning point, the conservative group, which is on the decline with each passing day after being sternly judged by history, is working hard to block the trend of the present situation with thoughtless remarks against the public sentiment.
When the north-south summit meeting and talks were held like lightning this year, it committed a treacherous act, saying the "negotiations between the north and the south without the nuclear dismantlement is an act of benefiting the enemy" and calling the meeting and talks a "gesture to avoid the sanctions by the international community".
It is just the conservative group that blustered that "it can never allow the 'National Assembly' to ratify the declaration sympathizing with the denuclearization without seeing its realization" and that it can never agree with an attempt for the ratification of the assembly as it is little short of trying to cooperate with the north in economy despite the practical sanctions by the UN Security Council and the U.S., thus making a mockery of and insult to the south Koreans who called for the NA approval.
As a crow can never be whiter for often washing, the conservative group can never conceal its despicable nature as the "party standing for war", "confrontation-oriented party" and "anti-reunification party" no matter how loudly it trumpets about "peace" and "co-prosperity".
The way for genuine peace and prosperity desired by all the compatriots is to thoroughly implement the historic Panmunjom Declaration and the "September Pyongyang Joint Declaration" agreed and solemnly clarified by the north and the south.
The LKP, a cancer-like entity in realizing peace and reunification, must not make a mockery of the people with its wicked wordplay but end its existence as early as possible. -0-
