Standing against move of the US policy

South Korean people are dead-set against the US obstruction to implementation of the historic Panmunjeon declaration and the “September Pyongyang Joint Declaration”.

An anti-US rally was held in front of the US embassy in Seoul on October 6.

About 200 persons in the rally chanted the slogans “Withdrawal of the US hostile policy toward north Korea” and “Stop interference in implementation of the Panmunjeom declaration and domestic affair”.  

They vowed to flatly reject any moves of the US intervention in order to implement the Panmunjeom declaration and the “September Pyongyang Joint Declaration”.

University students of south Korea held a ceremony of forming an organization "Anti-US fighters, university students, for the independence of this land" in Seoul on Oct. 10.

At the ceremony speakers denounced the US for hurling a stream of anachronistic remarks at a time when the people all over the world are welcoming the peace climate prevailing in the Korean Peninsula.

They noted that they could not suppress their anger at the moves of the US to keep the south and the north from solving the issue of the Korean Peninsula and moving toward peace.

They will not remain an onlooker to the US hawks which have made words menacing peace of the Korean Peninsula, they noted.

At the end of the ceremony the students held a photo exhibition for citizens, through which they exposed the crimes of GIs in south Korea, and distributed pamphlets calling for the withdrawal of the US forces from south Korea.
