Seventh Congress of WPK to Be Convened

 Pyongyang, October 30 (KCNA) -- The Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea announced the following decision on Oct. 30, Juche 104 (2015):
    The entire party and army and all the people are now vigorously conducting the general offensive to build a thriving socialist nation in high spirits of victors who glorified the 70th anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) as a great auspicious event of prosperous Songun Korea, rallied close around respected Comrade

Kim Jong Un, demonstrating to the whole world the dignity and might of the great Paektusan nation.
    Under the distinguished and tested guidance of the great Comrade Kim Il Sung, founder of the glorious WPK, and the great Comrade Kim Jong Il, its eternal general secretary, the WPK had developed into the great party of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, a revolutionary party of Juche which firmly established the oneness and continuity of ideology and leadership of the great leaders, and had creditably discharged its mission as the organizer and guider of all victories for the Korean people.
    Guiding the revolution and construction for the past 70 years with the line and principle of independence, Songun and socialism as its eternal stratagem, the WPK has trained the Korean people into a dignified and independent people and the powerful driving force of the revolution and built socialism of Juche that meets the popular masses' demand for independence and translates their ideal into reality. It also honorably defended the dignity and sovereignty of the country and the gains of the revolution, establishing the tradition of victory in the confrontation with imperialism that has continued century after century, and provided the eternal foundation for prosperity of the country and the accomplishment of the revolutionary cause of Juche.
    Today we are faced with the heavy yet sacred task to bring about a great upswing in the building of a thriving socialist nation and further strengthen the WPK into the great party of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and enhance its leading role so as to hasten the final victory in the revolutionary cause of Juche under the guidance of Kim Jong Un, supreme leader of our party and people, holding fast to the behests of the great leaders as eternal guidelines.
    The Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee decides to convene the 7th Congress of the WPK early in May Juche 105 (2016), reflecting the demand of the party and the developing revolution that witness epoch-making changes in accomplishing the revolutionary cause of Juche, the cause of building a thriving socialist nation. -0-

There is No Human Rights Problem in Peoples Korea !- by Dermot Hudson

Visiting the Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea for the 10th time I was able to travel to places such as Sinchon , Mt Myohyang and the West Sea Barrage  thus afforded  me with an excellent opportunity of seeing large areas of the countryside on the way . I was also able to walk around Pyongyang at night and see much of the city including pedestrian underpasses.
                         

The US imperialists and all sorts of reactionaries have over the past few years  made wild allegations about "human rights violations " in the DPRK and even press-ganged some  other countries to pass anti DPRK resolutions in the UN .
So where were these giant  'forced labour camps' and 'concentration camps'  that the imperialists allege exist in the DPRK ? I could not see such a thing  in fact I did not even see one barbed wire fence in the countryside nor large numbers of police or security personnel. It also should be mentioned that the DPRK countryside was free from crop failure, famine . There is also a good level of social equality in the DPRK countryside with no big houses , no big private landed estates (or latifundia ) , no rich farmers or landlords, a genuine peoples countryside , a socialist countryside with the red flag flying high.

The imperialists claim that there are hundreds of thousands of people held in camps in the DPRK , such camps would have to be massive and with a huge number of guards but I did not see such a thing in the DPRK countryside. Moreover the DPRK is very peaceful and calm you rarely see emergency vehicles rushing through the busy streets. If it what the imperialists say about "human rights " and " forced labour camps " in the DPRK was true, then you would say police or security personnel on the streets arresting many people and putting them in lorries to go to "labour camps " or "concentration camps " but I saw no such thing happen. I did not see heavily armed police on the streets that you sometimes encounter in London , either on the streets or at railway stations or at airports . Indeed I was able to go for a walk near the Mansudae Assembly Hall the home of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly  , the highest organ of legislative power in the DPRK and roughly equivalent to the parliament. Now in London the area around parliament is a restricted area where movement is controlled and armed police units patrol. However  in Pyongyang I see no police or security personnel in the area surrounding the Mansudae Assembly hall. Of course the DPRK is a stable and harmonious unified society based on single hearted unity so there is no terrorism and no riots. In the DPRK there is unity between the  armed forces and civilians  so people do not fear or despise the armed forces.
                               

 I did not see the police oppressing anyone on the streets . I did not see anyone get arrested or the police in the DPRK shoot anyone dead !  In the USA , the so called "land of the free "  , which is the country behind the clamour about " human rights in the DPRK , the police regularly shoot down people  most of them black. The British newspaper "The Guardian" said so far this year 944 people had been killed by police in the USA so far this  year ! . In the UK armed police units have been responsible for the loss of life notably innocent Brazilian electrician  Jean Charles De Menezes and Mark Duggan (which sparked the 2011 riots ).
     Visiting the newly modernised and expanded Sinchon Ri Museum I could see just who the real human rights abusers are ! Sinchon ri is the  fateful place where the US imperialists and local class enemies committed the crime of murdering 35383 people or one quarter of the population (can you imagine the death toll if the same thing was done in London , it would 2.2 million people dead!).It is an understatement to say the the US imperialists are just as bad as Hitler’s Nazis.
    Thus visiting  the DPRK for the 10th time I could see very clearly the stories about "forced labour camps"  in the DPRK are just hokum  and nonsense , nothing but lies . There is no 'human rights' problem in the DPRK . People enjoy the right to housing , to education , to free medical care , to work and even have holidays paid for a state expense ! .  Many Western critics of the DPRK ignore the fact that everyone in the DPRK  supports dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN and the Workers Party of Korea and they are happy to build socialism. The great  Juche Idea which stresses the independence and creativity of man and also always stresses the role of ideology so there cannot be such a thing as a "human rights "problem".

A Reply to Nathan Hazlett

U.S. Human Rights Abuses Are Inevitable Product of Unethical Policy

Pyongyang, October 27 (KCNA) -- The U.S. human rights abuses are shocking the world.
    As known, U.S. forces in Afghanistan bombed a hospital in Kunduz Province on Oct. 3, killing dozens of children, patients and doctors, wounding 37 and leaving 24 missing.
    This is a human rights abuse that has to be investigated and brought to justice in the name of the world.
    But far from repenting of its act of massacring innocent civilians in disregard of international law, the U.S. is repeating senseless remark that it was at the request of the Afghan forces.
    This is an intolerable insult and a mockery of humankind indignant at the shuddering crimes that pushed dozens to grievous deaths.
    The recent barbarous bombing was an inevitable result of the hideous policy of the U.S. which resorts to every possible means and method to realize its ambition for world domination.
    It was pursuant to this genocidal policy that it started wars in Grenada, former Yugoslavia, Afghanistan, Iraq and Libya and in other parts of the world and fostered civil wars, encroaching upon the right to existence of a great number of people and reducing them to refugees.
    In February 1991 the U.S. bombed an air-raid shelter in Al Amiriya, Iraq, killing hundreds of civilians. In July 1988 it shot down an airliner with a missile, killing hundreds of passengers aboard.
    There are countless examples of the monstrous massacres committed by the U.S. in the world.
    The U.S. is the world's worst human rights abuser and an enemy common to humankind as it adopted it as its state policy to commit systematic and deliberate human rights abuses.
    Irony is that this worst human rights abuser in the world is styling itself a "human rights judge", pointing accusing fingers at other countries over their human rights issues.
    The U.S. has neither justifications nor a face to talk about human rights of others as it is beset with hideous human rights abuses that are commonplace in the country.
    The U.S. protects by law, namely article 2 of the modified constitution, the possession of guns by individuals, the hotbed of high-profile crimes, and any attempt to check or restrict it is categorically rejected through Congress.
    It is because the possession of guns and the continued free sale of them bring the U.S. no small profits.
    The gun-related crimes are becoming an incurable malignant tumor in the U.S.
    Even recently at a community university in Oregon State, the U.S., a shooting spree occurred, killing and wounding dozens.
    In September a police man shot a black man to death.
    As seen above, all human rights abuses taking place in the U.S. are a product of the corrupt money-almighty doctrine and jungle law that prevail in the society.
    It is none other than the ruling quarters of the U.S. who are responsible for making society corrupt and ailing.
    Denunciation and censure are not enough to put an end to the human rights abuses of the U.S.
    This is possible only when the whole world dismembers the U.S. -0-

The Association For the Study of Songun Politics UK (ASSPUK) and the Juche Idea Study Group of England(JISGE) issued a joint statement regarding the speech of the dear respected leader Marshal KIM JONG UN to the  Military Parade and Public Procession of Pyongyang Citizens on the 10th of October :
                                                Without any doubt the speech delivered by dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN to Military Parade and Public Procession of Pyongyang Citizens on the 10th of October is a very powerful speech that inspires not only the Korean people but the world revolutionary people who fight for independence and socialism. Respected Marshal KIM JONG UN in his address says that the military parade that is about to be held will demonstrate the inexhaustible strength of the Workers Party of Korea.

Dear respected comrade KIM JONG UN neatly and adroitly presented the speech in four sections , each of which focuses on a particular aspect of the strength of the Workers Party of Korea.

Firstly, it is a people orientated party.  Dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN says
" President Kim Il Sung and General Kim Jong Il built ours into an invincible revolutionary party, a genuine political leadership organization, which serves the people and advances in unity with the masses, the first of its kind in history.   
  Since it inscribed a hammer, a sickle and a writing brush in its red flag, our Party has never been separated from the people and advanced the revolution always believing in them as in heaven"

The most important thing here is that the WPK has never been separated from the people. The WPK has been able to splendidly build socialism despite all kinds of trials and difficulties such as the destruction of the war and sanctions and blockade because it relied on the people.

Secondly,  the WPK leads and commands the most powerful revolutionary armed forces that defend the destiny of the revolution and the independence of Peoples Korea.  A nation without powerful armed forces is a ruined nation. Now Peoples Korea possess the most powerful armed forces as dear respected
Marshal KIM JONG UN says "    Today our Party can proudly state that our revolutionary armed forces are capable of fighting any type of war the U.S. imperialists opt for, and have made full preparations for firmly defending the blue sky over the country and the security of the people."

These words sent a shiver down the spines of the US imperialists and international reactionaries who dream of invading and destroying Peoples Korea !

Thirdly, the strength of the WPK is based on the fact it pays attention to youth  the vanguard and the future of the nation. The WPK has always attached great importance to the role of youth and built up the DPRK as a youth power . As dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN said
"  That our revolution is still advancing vigorously filled with unflagging energy and vitality without stagnation and marking time is because it has a steel-strong legion of young people who always march straight forward following the Party."

This aptlly sums up the role of youth in Peoples Korea and their dynamic role.

Fourthly, the strength of the Workers' Party of Korea comes from the fact that it is based on the immortal teachings of the great leader President KIM IL SUNG and eternal chairman KIM JONG IL . It is based on KIMILSUNGISM-KIMJONGILISM  which is essentially the people first principle. Dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN  points out that
"The Korean revolution advances not by dint of any mysterious divine power but on the great strength of our people including the heroicKim Il Sung's and Kim Jong Il's working class who follow and safeguard their Party with a single mind."

This is a very wise teaching indeed , it is very true that the Korean revolution advances by the strength of the people based on single-hearted unity and no other force.

        We in the ASSPUK and JISGE are greatly inspired by the speech of the dear respected leader Marshal KIM JONG UN as it fully encapsulates the great truth of KIMILSUNGISM-KIMJONGILISM . It contains precious teachings and guidelines for advancing the Korean revolution under the unfurled red banner of the WPK . We believe that victory and glory are in store for the Korean people under the leadership of dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN. Moreover we resolve to study this speech hard ourselves as it contains many valuable lessons for the world revolutionary movement.

Report of Visit to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea for the celebrations of the 70th anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea by Dermot Hudson

                                                 

                         
I visited the Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea again , for the 10th time , from the 8th of October to the 19th  to attend the celebrations for the 70th anniversary of the foundation of the Workers' Party of Korea. This was at the kind invitation of the Korean Association of Social Scientists It was a great visit and I was very disappointed to leave to go back to the capitalist world where everything seems so depressing and miserable .
    During my visit  I had working level meetings with the Korean Association of Social Scientists. I participated as an observer in the  meeting of the Board of Directors of the KIM IL SUNG  KIM JONG IL International Foundation  .  I took part the seminar on the 9th of October  and made  a speech to the seminar  on experiences of Juche Idea Study Groups on the 11th of October. I was proud to be awarded the double portrait badge of generalissimos KIM IL SUNG and KIM JONG IL, a great honour indeed.
I was able to have  a short meeting with the DPRK Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries during the meal arranged by them on the 8th of October. I had  a productive meeting with  the Anti Imperialist National Democratic Front of south Korea. I was able to visit outside of Pyongyang the following places such as  the Sinchon museum, International Friendship Exhibition and West sea barrage and also to walk around Pyongyang  quite a lot on foot for the first time . Seeing pedestrian underpasses I could not see any homeless people. I realised more deeply that the propaganda spread by the imperialist mass media is all lies.
 Seeing the DPRK countryside I came to know that the stories about crop failure and famine are untrue . Also some elements spread stories about " reform  " and "opening up " and even the" restoration of capitalism"     but in the countryside you could see the Red flag proudly displayed on the collective farm fields.                
                     

                                             
         There  so many highlights of the trip notably the massive military parade to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the foundation of the Workers Party of Korea .  . Also there was torchlight parade by tens of thousands of youth was most impressive as was the 10,000 strong gala performance on a floating stage.
   I arrived at the new Pyongyang Sunan International Airport on the 8th where I was met by an official of the Korean Association of Social Scientists  and by my guide for the trip Ms Ri ,  a smartly dressed  young lady with a brisk and confident walk  who  is a university student and member of the KIM IL SUNG Socialist Youth League . Seeing the new Airport itself was a surprise  ! . All trace of the old Sunan airport was gone and instead a new modern airport that is spacious and bright . It was constructed by the soldier constructors of the Korean Peoples Army totally self reliantly in the spirit of Juche . Many countries can of course boast of modern airports  but these are constructed with  the help of foreign capital whereas  Sunan Airport is 100 per cent Korean in construction and design . There is no HSBC , no McDonald’s , no Starbucks , no KFC  ! everything is Korean owned and managed !It was a contrast to a certain neighbouring country where the first thing you can see on coming out of arrivals is a McDonald’s rather than a symbol of the country concerned or an enterprise owned by that country  , what a poor show ! Although Sunan Airport now has bigger capacity  it still has a calm atmosphere and lacks the stress of Heathrow Airport . In some capitalist countries airports have been over expanded drawing anger and protests . However the DPRK has struck a balance between the need for international air travel and the need for environmental  harmony.
Pyongyang was in  a truly festive mood ready for October 10th . The red flag of the Workers Party of Korea with its distinct hammer, sickle and writing brush  could be seen flying gaily in the wind on many street corners . On this visit whilst visiting the Party Foundation museum I learnt  that the fact that that the sickle, brush and hammer are upright to symbolise the single hearted unity  of the masses and that the writing brush is higher to reflect the importance of intellectuals in society .
Of course the DPRK is one of the few countries in the world where you will see the Red flag flying on street corners which reflects the fact that the DPRK is upholding the red banner of socialism frustrating all attempts to undermine socialism as dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN said in his recently published work   "The Cause of the Great Party of Comrades Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il Is Ever-Victorious"
" We must keep a watchful eye over all sorts of moves by the enemy to undermine our socialist system from within, approach these moves with political awareness and never allow any poisonous weeds of capitalism, however trifling, to sprout in the garden of socialism."
                     The single heart-ed unity of the DPRK was demonstrated  by   the massive military parade , civilian  demonstration and torchlight procession of youths . The military parade was   was a superb pageant . It was led by a column representing the anti-Japanese guerrillas which was symbolic of the continuity of the revolution down the generations. There  were the original tanks from the Fatherland Liberation War including tank no 312 which was the first tank into Seoul on the 28th of July  1950 , a subtle reminder to the south Korean puppets of the fate that awaits them should they provoke a war . There was an impressive display of tanks and missiles including long range missiles as well as a nuclear suicide unit which shows that if necessary  the KPA under the command of supreme leader Marshal   KIM JONG UN can strike back at the US imperialists in any part of the world . The US imperialists may be able to run but they cannot hide from the merciless strike of the KPA !   There was an ingenious display by planes that flew in the formation of the  WPK symbol and in the formation of a number 70 , such creativity  and skill !The military parade was followed by a civilian demonstration which demonstrated the army people unity which is quite impossible in capitalist society where there is conflict between the people and the armed forces. Later I explained to my guide Ms Ri that in my country there is conflict between the army and the people  giving the example of the town where I grew up  : there was  an army barracks in the centre of town but it had to be moved into the countryside far outside town because each night the soldiers would go out and get drunk in pubs and beat up the civilians(Ms Ri said that the British Army is not a proper army and that KPA soldiers never drink )

Dear respected Marshal KIM JONG  UN addressed the parade , his voice was clear and strong full of conviction. He said

"   For our country and people, October 10 is a meaningful revolutionary holiday when they celebrate the birth anniversary of the genuine vanguard of the revolution, its militant General Staff, which has taken responsibility for their destiny and leads them"

Military parades in the DPRK are different from those in former socialist countries as in the DPRK the paraders march with vigour and enthusiasm and with colourful displays. In the former socialist countries the military parades looked gloomy.  Of course some big powers may put on big military parades but these are just for show with no real content 

                      In the evening there was a militant torchlight paradeof youths followed by a colourful firework display . Although the weather was unfavourable the Korean young people did not flinch but took part in the parade with vigour  ! The DPRK government is not afraid of putting large numbers of young people on the streets whereas in the UK the government would never risk putting such large numbers of youth on the streets as this could led to a riot .
                                   I also attended the 10000 strong joint performance "Great Party, Rosy Korea". This was  a very new concept for me as it was performed  on  a floating stage on the River Taedong , something unique and I have never seen this before anywhere  in the world. The performance was started by schoolchildren but centred on veteran artistes of the DPRK . The famous Pochonbo and Wangjaesan  bands took the stage to perform such classic numbers as My Country is the Best . There were so many fascinating pieces of music . The history of the DPRK was represented by music and stunning choreography . I liked seeing a model of tank no 312 on the stage. The most striking piece was Peace Is On Our Bayonets . The lead singer for this was in a beautiful woman singer in uniform with a powerful and striking voice. This was performed against a striking backdrop showing the US flag and White House being destroyed. This demonstrates the strong and militant anti imperialist spirit of the DPRK which is not seen in other countries. The DPRK fights US imperialism without compromise unlike some countries.

The anti -imperialist , anti US spirit of the  DPRK was also fully demonstrated at the new Sinchon Ri museum . Sinchon Ri is the fateful place where the US imperialists and local class enemies committed the crime of murdering 35383 people or one quarter of the population (can you imagine the death toll if the same thing was done in London , it would 2.2 million people dead!).It is an understatement to say the the US imperialists are just as bad as Hitlers Nazis , in fact they were much worse! A museum was built  at the site of one of the massacres not simply as a memorial to those who died but also as a centre of anti US anti imperialist class education . Dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN instructed that the museum should be rebuilt and modernised . He also gave instructions that it should be moved to the site of where the massacre took place in the Chestnut valley as previously those who visited the old museum had to travel between sites , the new museum affords greater convenience . The new museum is much larger than the old one and has more detailed and graphic displays some with sound effects which tell of the horrendous crimes committed by the barbaric and degenerate Yankee imperialists against the Korean people . We learnt about the long history of US aggression against Korea which goes back over 150 years. In the past the devious US imperialists used religion as a means of creating passivity and US worship infiltrating many missionaries into Korea to spread the worship of the US and to recruit spies and collaborators. My eye was caught by a  depiction of Korean shown helping the US imperialists . This was a former landlord . Thus the US imperialists were the external enemy but were helped by internal class enemies like former exploiters.  The two were hand in glove . Today the reactionary exploiting class in south Korea led by puppet boss woman Park Geun Hye  is hand in glove with the US imperialists in their anti DPRK moves . My guide Ms Ri explained that the nature of the US imperialists does not change . I was able to purchase an excellent booklet Sinchon Acuses the Yankee barbarians  ! .  Probably the DPRK is the only country in the world to have such a museum , none of the other socialists countries , former or present , carried out such thoroughgoing anti US anti imperialist class education and it intends to step it up.

                                                     

    Visiting the new renovated and expanded Fatherland Liberation War Museum  one could learn the fact that the US imperialists provoked the Korean War and also of the crushing defeat inflicted on them by the heroic Korean Peoples Army commanded by the great leader generalissimo KIM IL SUNG the ever-victorious iron-willed brilliant commander and gifted military strategist of Juche . Also displayed outside were numerous captured US weapons including in pride of place the "USS Pueblo " which was captured on the 23rd of January 1968. At the time the US imperialists asked British premier Harold Wilson who had close business relations with the Soviet Union to ask the USSR to ask the DPRK  to hand back the ship . The DPRK refused  to do so , though the Soviet revisionists did put pressure on the DPRK to hand back the ship.

           We also visited the  International Friendship Exhibition situated in the beautifully scenic and supremely serene Myohyang mountains. I was proud to see the gift we presented to dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN in 2013 on display. There was a beautiful carpet picture of dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN and comrade Ri Sol Ju on display.Visiting the exhibition we could learn of the the deep reverence of the world revolutionary and progressive people for the great leader President

KIM IL SUNG who was the great elder of the international communist and working class movement . After seeing the waxwork figure of the great leader President KIM IL SUNG Ms Ri said that she felt that she was seeing the great leader President KIM IL SUNG in real life !

                                                 

No visit to Pyongyang is complete without  a visit to the amazing Pyongyang Metro.The cost of ride on the Pyongyang Metro is the equivalent of  0.003p(according to a google currency converter) so it is virtually free and war veterans get completely free travel.The Pyongyang Metro is  clean, free from vandalism, graffiti , capitalist advertising and dirt ! I told my guide how dirty the London Underground is and she asked why given the high fares on the Tube they cannot kept it clean ! The Pyongyang Metro is very safe as the platforms are wide and each station has 2 "security girls"  who ensure the safety of passengers. In London ticket offices are being closed and the numbers of staff reduced.

 The DPRK is building many blocks of flats such as Mirae Street and handing them over to the people free of charge. This would be unthinkable in the UK where a flat on the riverside in central London cost £12,000 per month to rent or up to £1 million to buy . Even in  the run down and poor  Woolwich Dockyard area ( where I live) a flat  costs £200,000 to buy or £500 to £1000 a month to rent.

Thanks to my dependable and reliable guide Ms Ri I was able to walk about the centre of Pyongyang which not only afforded me the opportunity of fresh air and exercise but gave me the chance to see the reality of the DPRK even more deeply before. Some enemies of the DPRK say that visitors to the DPRK simply stay in hotels and go around in tourist buses  but do not really know the country . This was proved untrue . I encountered busy and bustling streets full of people. In the pedestrian underpasses there were no homeless people that you would expect to see in the capitalist countries . Indeed in London some pedestrian underpasses at night are full of homeless people , drunks , drug addicts and  lumpen  criminal degenerate type people but in Pyongyang there is no such thing. Indeed the DPRK is a highly moral society that does not have drug addiction nor does it have pornography or the so-called "sex industry " that the capitalist countries have which distorts human values and blights lives.

     There was also no sign of the police oppressing the people nor heavily armed police units patrolling the streets . Travelling through the countryside   to various places such as Sinchon, Mt Myohyang and Nampo therewas absolutely no sign of the "forced labour camps " and "concentration camps" that the imperialists claim exist in the DPRK . In fact I did not see barbed wire anywhere in the DPRK countryside . I realised that the "human rights " propaganda of the imperialists and the stories spread by defectors are completely false.
                                         

The DPRK boasts excellent  leisure and recreational facilities which are either non existent or very expensive in London. We watched a lively performance by the dolphins at the Rungna Dolphinarium . I was told it is very cheap to visit this place.

On my last day I visited the famous Munsu Water Park which had not been completed when I last visited in 2013. This place is incredibly big with indoor and outside facilities such as slides and a wave machine. It also has its own hairdressers and an excellent coffee bar.

    I had the privilege of meeting with for 5th time the Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front of south Korea, the vanguard revolutionaries of south Korea . I was shown a video about the US imperialist and south Korean puppet moves to tear up recent inter-Korean agreements and provoke war . They also showed me a video concerning the attempt to revise history books in south Korea in a way as to embellish both Japan's occupation of south Korea and the Park Chung Hee military fascist regime  and also the struggle of the south Korean people against such a revision. In my discussions with the AINDF I stressed that Park Geun Hye styles herself on Thatcher but in reality Thatcher was a leader hated by many British people so that when she died some people came out on the streets to celebrate. The same will happen to Park Geun Hye and her fate will be the same as her fathers .  I had some very good discussions with the AINDF and exchanged gifts with them .I was entertained by an excellent meal by the AINDF which included my favourite Korean hot pepper sauce

   I was greatly honoured to met secretary Kim Ki Nam  and shake his hand and say Chosonnodongdang manse ! in Korean to him

                       I also met with Dr Ogami Kenichi head of the International Institute of the Juche Idea and Dr Harish Gupta head of the Asian Regional Institute for the Study of the Juche Idea and had discussions with them. I had the privilege of   2 working level meetings with a senior professor from KASS. I also had the opportunity to meet the vice secretary general of KASS at a meal arranged on my last night in the DPRK at which I was able to enjoy lobster which is only eaten by rich people in my country. The meal was very reasonably priced only 58 euros between for 6 people including soju (normally in London the same price would only buy a similar meal for two people)

All in all a great visit. I was a bit sad to depart the land  of Juche Korea !

October 10th Military Parade of the DPRK shows invincible power of Songun-special article by Dermot Hudson

                                 

   

On the 10th of October together with other foreign delegates I attended the massive military parade and civilian mass demonstration held to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the foundation of the Workers' Party of Korea by the great leader comrade KIM IL SUNG 
                                       The single heart-ed unity of the DPRK was demonstrated  by   the military parade and civilian  demonstration s . The military parade was   was a superb pageant .  It showed the true precison , effieciency and disclipine of the Korean Peoples Army under the leadership of dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN and the Workers Party of Korea . Such disclipine and efficiency would be impossible in an imperialist or revisionist country !
Before the parade started the  DPRK National Flag and the flag of the Workers' Party of Korea were hoisted onto the flagpole by the reviewing . Chief of general staff of the Korean People's Army general Ri Yong Il reviewed and greeted the troops . Dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN took the reviewing stand  to stormy applause.
 The parade was led  by a column representing the anti-Japanese guerrillas which was symbolic of the continuity of the revolution down the generations. There  were the original tanks from the Fatherland Liberation War including tank no 312 which was the first tank into Seoul on the 28th of July  1950 , a subtle reminder to the south Korean puppets of the fate that awaits them should they provoke a war . There was an impressive display of tanks and missiles including long range missiles as well as a nuclear suicide unit which shows that if necessary  the KPA under the command of supreme leader Marshal   KIM JONG UN can strike back at the US imperialists in any part of the world . The US imperialists may be able to run but they cannot hide from the merciless strike of the KPA !  

                                              

There was an ingenious display by planes that flew in the formation of the  WPK symbol and in the formation of a number 70 , such creativity  and skill !
 
The military parade was followed by a civilian demonstration which demonstrated the army people unity which is quite impossible in capitalist society where there is conflict between the people and the armed forces. Later I explained to my guide  that in my country there is conflict between the army and the people  giving the example of the town where I grew up  : there was  an army barracks in the centre of town but it had to be moved into the countryside far outside town because each night the soldiers would go out and get drunk in pubs and beat up the civilians . This illustrated the deep conflict between the people and armed forces in imperialist society.

                                  

Dear respected Marshal KIM JONG  UN addressed the parade , his voice was clear and strong full of conviction. He said

"   For our country and people, October 10 is a meaningful revolutionary holiday when they celebrate the birth anniversary of the genuine vanguard of the revolution, its militant General Staff, which has taken responsibility for their destiny and leads them"

Moreover he pointed out that " Today our Party can proudly state that our revolutionary armed forces are capable of fighting any type of war the U.S. imperialists opt for, and have made full preparations for firmly defending the blue sky over the country and the security of the people"
This served as a stern warning to the foolhardy and aggressive US imperialists who dream of starting a second Korean war and invading the DPRK.

Military parades in the DPRK are different from those in former socialist countries as in the DPRK the paraders march with vigour and enthusiasm and with colourful displays. In the former socialist countries the military parades looked gloomy. I can remember watching a video of a parade staged by the East German revisionists in 1989 shortly before the collapse of the GDR , it looked grey and formalistic without colour and spirit but the KPA military parade was full of vigour and colour. Of course some big powers may put on big military parades but these are just for show with no real content , the troops of these countries lack militant anti-imperialist spirit whereas the KPA has emblazoned on its tanks and armour the slogan "Let Us Wipe Out the US imperialist aggressors , the sworn enemy of the Korean people ! "

WPK's Feats for World Socialist Movement

Pyongyang, October 10 (KCNA) -- On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), the progressive mankind of the world recall the feats of the great Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il who created a new history in the cause of global socialism by leading the WPK.
    President Kim Il Sung clarified the Juche theory of socialism in the course of the struggle to reject modern revisionism and strengthen the Korean revolution and the world socialist movement and had worked heart and soul to carry it into practice.

The Association For the Study of Songun Politics UK(ASSPUK), the Juche Idea Study Group of England(JISGE) and the UK Korean Friendship Association(UK KFA) today issued a joint statement condemning the reckless action of the south Korean fascist puppets who opened fire on a DPRK patrol boat:

 On the 24th of October the south Korean puppet fascist warmongers opened fire into a patrol boat of the DPRK on its routine patrol duty in the waters of the north side in the West Sea, claiming that the boat came close to the "northern limited line" and talking about "warning".
    This shelling that was committed in broad daylight was a deliberate provocation to spark off a military conflict in the tension-charged waters of the West Sea of Korea and again escalate the tension on the Korean Peninsula.

One can only assume that this action was carried in order to fan the flames of confrontation , very much like pouring petrol on smouldering embers. In August the situation in Korea came close to war but this was averted thanks to the DPRK patient and peace loving efforts. Inter Korean family reunions are taking place as well in an atmosphere of relaxed tension. This wild action of the south Korean puppets is clearly designed to ruin the atmosphere and push the situation back to one of confrontation and tension. 
The south Korean puppets are taking a very foolhardy course which could lead to their violent demise ! Our organisations totally condemn the south Korean
puppets for their reckless and insane action.

Speech On Experience in Studying and Promoting the Juche Idea made to Seminar organised by the Korean Association of Social Scientists in Pyongyang DPR Korea October 11th made by Dermot Hudson ASSPUK and JISGE

                                                             

Comrades and friends,
                                           It is a great pleasure to address this international seminar being held to mark the 70th anniversary of the foundation of the glorious Workers' Party of Korea by the great leader comrade KIM IL SUNG , the sun of Juche . The WPK under the leadership of great comrade KIM IL SUNG and eternal chairman KIM JONG IL has traversed a road of victory and glory . The cause of the Juche-orientated party building started by the great leaders comrades KIM IL SUNG and KIM JONG IL is  now being dynamically carried forward by the dear respected leader Marshal  KIM JONG UN.
                        The 70th anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea underscores the need to deepen our study of the Juche Idea and Songun Idea and to share experiences in studying the Juche Idea and Songun Idea with other Juche Idea and Songun idea followers  gathered here in Pyongyang , the capital of Juche Korea , on this auspicious occasion.
We founded the Juche Idea Study Group of England in 1985 and refounded it in 1990 and 2000. In 2003 we established the Association For the Study of Songun Politics UK. The Association For the Study of Songun Politics(ASSPUK) and the Juche Idea Study Group of England (JISGE) have  made considerable progress over the past years, although  there are many areas for further improvement . As you are  aware the JISGE Group and supporters of People’s Korea  generally operate in an extremely hostile  environment as Britain is one of the leading centres of capitalism , it was also the first imperialist country  and  is close ally of US imperialism under the so-called “special relationship “. So we are basically fighting from 'behind enemy lines'  The imperialist reactionaries do all they can to impede the study of the Juche Idea and Songun Idea in the UK. There is the unrelenting propaganda campaign against the Democratic People's Republic of Korea , the homeland of Juche  and insidious attempts to stifle our activities. In 2014 I was myself victimized my employer for my consistent support for People's Korea and the great Juche Idea and forced to take early retirement from my workplace.  We have faced  not only hostility from the obvious enemies such as the imperialist reactionaries but also  from modern revisionist and dogmatist quarters who oppose the Juche Idea.
                      Despite all these attempts to stifle and impede our activities we maintained a consistent level of activity. We have  the capability to operate in all areas of activity independently, in the spirit of Juche. Over the past few years we have carried out many activities such as holding seminars on the keynote anniversaries of the DPRK such as the Day of the Sun and the Day of the Shining Star .  We encourage  both collective study and individual study of the works of the President  KIM IL SUNG , chairman KIM JONG IL and respected Marshal KIM JONG UN .
   "Independence Star", the journal of the Study Group comes out on a regluar basis, at least four times a year. The journal is both published in hard copy and is displayed online. The journal contains various items on the Juche Idea and its application, DPRK news and events. We have also published books and pamphlets such as  “The Eternal People's Sun “, “Red Flag Flying High in Juche Korea “ , “ Journey to the Country of the Sun “ and “Who Are the Real Human Rights Abusers “

The Study Group acts in unison with the  UK Korean Friendship Association . We have worked with UK KFA to combat anti-DPRK propaganda. On a number of occasions together with UK KFA and other organisations we have picketed the US embassy and the south Korean puppet embassy in London and have plans to do more pickets.

We have contact  with the International Institute of the Juche Idea in Tokyo and also with h the European Regional Society for the Juche Idea .We attended a the 2003 European Seminar on the Juche Idea in 2003 in Paris and the 2014 European seminar in Rome in 2014. Also we attended in the International Juche Conference staged in Caracas, Venezuela during September 2005. We were happy and proud to have participated in the World Juche Congress held in Pyongyang in April 2012  on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the birth of the great leader President  KIM IL SUNG. .It can be said that the Juche Idea Study Group of England  is an integral part of the worldwide  Juche Study Movement.
                              We have consistently co-operated with the Korean Association of Social Scientists . We have participated in Juche Study courses organised by the KASS in Pyongyang and have exchanged views with the KASS both in Pyongyang and other parts of the world . We deeply value our relations with the Korean Association of Social Scientists  It is with a great degree of pride that the Study Group now has excellent relations with the social scientists from the Land of the Juche Idea and of Songun Politics.
          In order to carry forward our work  We  aim to do the following

• To Increase Membership Figures.
• To expand the influence and profile of the JISGE and ASSPUK
• To continuously educate the membership of the Study Group in the Juche Idea and in Songun Politics.
• To more actively defend the DPRK , the land of Juche
• To improve co-operation with friendship and solidarity bodies in the UK and elsewhere
• To circulate the classic works of KIM IL SUNG and KIM JONG IL and Marshal
• KIM JONG UN  widely among different sectors in the UK.
• To have more delegations from the Study Group visiting the DPRK and attending international Juche conferences.
• To increase the Study Group's work among political activists, anti-imperialist campaigners, trade unionists, academics and students from various quarters from across Britain.

 
This will not be an easy task as we face several obstacles and challenges . Firstly , there is the continuous anti -DPRK campaign, particularly the so-called “human rights campaign “ being waged by the media and also by the British ruling class which is hand in the glove with the US imperialists and south Korean puppets. The UK has been one of the chief sponsors of the anti- DPRK human rights resolution in the UN.
This hostile campaign aims to turn people against People's Korea and the Juche Idea and makes our work very hard . Additionally some of the so-called “Left “ in the UK are influenced by imperialist propaganda and also oppose the DPRK and actively block the study of the Juche Idea and Songun Idea. All kinds of revisionist, factionalist , sectarian , dogmatic and Trotskyite trends exist which oppose the Juche Idea and Songun Idea and try to stop progressive people from studying the Juche Idea.
                      There is also a strong tendency amongst the British population to be uninterested in political matters and apathetic or individualist. Some people also believe that all activity can be conducted on the Internet without them going out of their homes participating in activities such as meetings.
                       In order to counter these challenges we must deepen our study of the Juche Idea and Songun and steel ourselves with revolutionary faith. We must learn from the example set by Korean revolutionaries including the long term unconverted prisoners and the south Korean revolutionaries. Moreover the example of People's Korea led by dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN  is a great example to us and an inspiration. People's Korea is the most independent country in the world , it says what it likes and likes what it says , it does what it says . People's Korea does not give in to  pressure from big powers and the US led imperialists. It is the most anti-imperalist and anti-US country in the world ,second to none . It does not compromise with the  imperialists.
Improving and deepening our study of the Juche Idea and Songun Idea  as well dynamically increasing our activities will be a meaningful way to celebrate the 70 years of victory and glory of the Workers' Party of Korea founded  by President  KIM IL SUNG and led by dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN. Moreover the US imperialists and all other reactionaries are stepping up their anti-DPRK  campaign . Not a day , not an hour passes without the imperialist media spreading false stories about the land of Juche . The US imperialists and world monopoly capital are desperately trying to stifle People's Korea using the “human rights “ issue even though of course there is no human rights issue in the DPRK and the biggest violator of human rights are the imperialists , US, British and Japanese , themselves ! . It is a vital to step up our activities so as to decisively smash this evil and insidious anti DPRK campaign of the imperialists  so we appeal to you, Juche Idea and Songun Idea followers of the world to step up activities  a hundred fold and a thousand fold !

Overt ambition of preemptive strike on north Korea

 

Of late, south Korean belligerent elements have revealed their ambition of preemptive attack on north Korea under the pretext of counteraction to cope with potential firing of nuclear ballistic missile of north Korea.

The US and south Korean authorities had a consult about implementation of “4D operational conception”, a scenario of preemptive nuclear attack, and agreed to upgrade it continuously at the 8th south Korea-US Integrated Defense Dialogue held in Seoul in September of this year.

The “4D operational conception” is a scenario of preemptive strike on north Korea aimed at “detect”, “defense”, “disrupt” and “destroy” to cope with “threat of north Korean ballistic missile”. In short, interception of north Korean missiles after detecting its movement, disruption of control of north Korean missile by striking at command and backing facilities and at last, determent of missile by delivering preemptive attack on the mobile missile launchers and missile facilities of north Korea.

In this respect, the “4D operational conception” is a brainchild of “tailored deterrence strategy” the core of which is that it gives a nuclear preemptive strike at north Korea by all means of military capabilities including nukes, regardless of wartime or peacetime.

In the long run, the “4D operational conception” hints the deployment of THAAD (Terminal High Altitude Area Defense) that the US and south Korea have pushed forward in secrecy.

  The south Korean trigger-happy force, hand in glove with the US, designed “OPLAN 2015”, a new scenario against north Korea.

The “OPLAN 2015” is aimed at attacking the leadership, destroying the command and communication means of north Korea at an early time.

They designated about 700 “joint interception points” with the US to carry out the “OPLAN 2015”.

They announced deployment for action of 800km-range ballistic missiles, clamoring “strike of whole area of north Korea” and normal operation of the “kill chain” coping nukes and missiles of north Korea.

It was quite absurd of the south Korean chief executive in her junket to the US on October 16 that she put the accent on strong alliance with the US, spitted threats that north Korea's missile launch and nuclear test would face “additional sanctions” or “harsh price”. She talked nonsense that north Korea would get jackpot if it abandons the nukes and it should come to the negotiating table.

It is none other than the south Korean authorities that throw a great obstacle to dialogue and peace and heighten confrontation and tension.

Washington and Seoul should give up military maneuvers escalating tension and disturbing mood of dialogue on the Korean Peninsula if they truly want peace.

Against Revision of History Textbooks

Recently, the struggle of the various circles of south Korean people is on a high tide against the government designated history textbooks.

The south Korean authorities try to change the authorized school history textbooks into the government designated textbooks.

In a word, their purpose is to cover up historic crimes stained with the pro-Japanese sycophancy and dictatorship and make new generation as necessary tools to keep their power.

Noting that they refuse the textbooks that would undermine the democracy and distort the history, pupils of “Youth against the ‘Government Designated Textbooks’” on October 11 held a press conference in Seoul to launch a campaign against the authorities’ maneuvers with the united might of the pupils.

On October 12, the Network on Interdiction from Government Designated Textbooks including 466 organizations including the  Korean Teachers and Education Workers’ Union held a press conference in Seoul to insist that the forcing single textbook infringes on freedom of expression and academic freedom. They noted that they will lodge autograph album of 70, 000 people to Cheongwadae.

Despite the strong opposition of various circles of society, if the authorities enforce the designated textbooks, they would meet the resistance and protest as the democratization movement in 1987, a civic organization in Sejong warned.

On that day, Lee Jong-geol, the floor leader and other assemblymen of Alliance for New Politics and Democracy held a meeting at the national assembly to urge the government to cancel the designation textbooks.

Denouncing that the textbooks embellish the Japanophiles and distort the history through a letter of protest, they demanded the canceling by the Ministry of Education and the apology of Park Geun-hye.

The head of the party criticized that the government designation textbooks put forward by the ruling forces are the anachronism for the purpose of beautifying the sympathy with Japan as modernization, praising the dictatorship as democracy and adulating the regime.

The south Korean authorities should cancel the textbooks for staying in power and returning to power without delay and listen to the voice of the various circles demanding the democracy in the society and stabilization of the people's livelihood.

CPRK Blasts S. Korean Military for Opening Fire into Patrol Boat of DPRK in West Sea

  Pyongyang, October 25 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of Korea (CPRK) gave the following answer to a question raised by KCNA Sunday as the south Korean military warmongers committed a serious military provocation against the DPRK in the West Sea of Korea:
    On Saturday the south Korean warmongers opened fire into a patrol boat of the DPRK on its routine patrol duty in the waters of the north side in the West Sea, claiming that the boat came close to the "northern limited line" and talking about "warning".
    The shelling that was committed in broad daylight was a deliberate provocation to spark off a military conflict in the tension-charged waters of the West Sea of Korea and again escalate the tension on the Korean Peninsula.
    We can not but take a serious note of the fact that the provocation was timed to coincide with the frantic anti-DPRK war exercises like combined naval drill and Hoguk drill which the south Korean warmongers are staging with a U.S. nuclear carrier involved while crying out for "resolute punishment" and "conditioned counteraction" with military brass hats including the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff touring the forefront areas including Yonphyong Islet.
    Now underway at Mt. Kumgang Resort is the reunion of separated families and relatives amid great concern and interest at home and abroad thanks to the positive and sincere efforts made by the DPRK.
    Seeing them reunite with each other, sharing warm kindred feelings after so many years of separation, all the fellow countrymen keenly feel the urgency of national reunification and hope that the atmosphere of reconciliation will bear a rich fruit.
    The recent military provocation of the south Korean military gangsters was a dangerous act aimed to chill the hard-won atmosphere of improving the relations and totally derail the process for implementing the north-south agreement.
    The recent case clearly proves who is to blame for harassing peace, escalating tension on the Korean Peninsula and bedeviling the north-south relations.
    There will be only a war disaster, far from the improvement of the north-south relations, as long as the south Korean military warmongers go reckless, going against the nation's desire and wish for national reunification.
    No matter how dear peace is to us, we will never pardon provokers going reckless, being seized by confrontation and war, but mercilessly punish them.
    If the south Korean military warmongers persist in reckless military provocations, not dropping the bad habit of cooking up a shocking incident and inciting confrontation, they will spark off an unpredictable armed conflict and the north-south relations will again reach the extremes as what they were before the August agreement.
    The south Korean authorities will be wholly accountable for it.
    The south Korean warmongers had better act with discretion, clearly understanding it will get nothing through its military provocation against the fellow countrymen. -0-

KCNA Commentary Calls for Heightening Vigilance against Japan's Rapid Emergence as Nuclear Weapons State

Pyongyang, October 24 (KCNA) -- Japan is rapidly emerging a nuclear weapons state under the signboard of "the Pacifist Constitution".
    Now Japan has a stockpile of tremendous amount of plutonium and enriched uranium enough to manufacture more than 5 000 nuclear bombs.
    Amid increasing international concern and suspicion about Japan going nuclear, the Chinese arms control and disarmament council and academic organization jointly published a report on Japan's nuclear materials and the Carnegie International Peace Foundation of the U.S. also published an academic report on Japan's nuclear materials.
    The reports cited facts to prove that Japan holds a stockpile of sensitive nuclear substances, revealing the danger of nuclear proliferation and threat to nuclear security.
    Japan has the world's largest fuel reprocessing plant and has stored 50 tons of split plutonium for decades which mean astronomical figures for the overwhelming majority of the countries in the world. It has massively conducted study of modern nuclear technology including nuclear fusion and high-speed neutron reactor and has purchased, stored and extracted a huge amount of nuclear substance.
    Going nuclear is Japan's invariable ambition and becoming a military giant is its strategic goal. Back in the Second World War, Japan pursued the development of a nuclear weapon and its use but instead it suffered from nuclear disasters. Finding the reason for its defeat in the war in its failure to have access to nuclear weapons, the militarists considered nuclear weapons as an all-powerful weapons and worked hard to have access to them.
    In order to create social atmosphere and legal environment necessary for nuclear weaponization, Japan revised "the basic law on atomic energy" and has openly pursued nuclear weaponization under the pretext of "national security."
    At an event this year, 70 years since Hiroshima suffered from an A-bomb, the Japanese chief executive did not mention the "three non-nuclear principles" which he would tout for mere form's sake in the past.
    But the Japanese right-wing elements have desperately stood against the principles, openly crying out for "manufacturing A-bombs".
    Japan's access to nuclear weapons has already become a will of the government, not just demand of a few ultra-right elements.
    Japan is capable of producing nuclear warheads in a short period as it has fully acquired technology of manufacturing A-bombs.
    Japan's going nuclear is neither a prediction nor a hypothesis but its danger is becoming a reality.
    All facts prove Japan's dramatic change in its foreign security policy with nuclear weapons as a pivot.
    Japan's moves for nuclear weaponization are related to the ambition for overseas aggression and war for world domination of the descendents of the war-happy militarists who are oblivious of the lesson of history.

      The Association For the Study of Songun Politics UK(ASSPUK), the Juche Idea Study Group of England(JISGE) and the UK Korean Friendship Association(UK KFA) today issued a joint statement condemning the US imperialist war moves against the Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea:

As has recently been reported although the DPRK has made the proposal for the conclusion of a peace treaty between itself and the US the latter has shunned this. Worse still it is stepping up its war moves against the DPRK by sending to Korean waters the nuclear-powered carrier Ronald Reagan together with cruiser and Aegis destroyers to conduct war exercises . The Ronald Regan, named after US war-maniac Reagan, is a nuclear powered aircraft carrier of some 100,000 tons and is heavily armed. Its presence in Korean waters alone is a grave provocation to the DPRK and moreover it is direct challenge to the proposal made by the DPRK at the 70th general assembly of the UN for a proper and permanent peace treaty.

It is just base hypocrisy of the US to prattle on about the "denuclearisation " of the Korean peninsula when it continually brings in the means of nuclear warfare and continually threatens and intimidates the DPRK . As such the issue of denuclearising the .Korean peninsula can never be discussed or deliberated on until the US stops making nuclear threats to the DPRK .

                     We condemn the US imperialists for their reckless and intemperate warmongering and call for the immediate withdrawal of the USS Ronald Reagan  and other US warships from Korean waters !

 The Association For the Study of Songun Politics UK(ASSPUK), the Juche Idea Study Group of England(JISGE) and the UK Korean Friendship Association(UK KFA) today issued a joint statement in support of the statement of the Foreign Ministry of the Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea of the 17th of October concerning the conclusion of a peace treaty :

We support this statement which expresses the will and stance of the DPRK to resolve issues peacefully. It is 63 years since the Korean Armistice Agreement was concluded . The armistice agreement was what it says an agreement for the cessation of hostilities not a permanent and  binding peace treaty . The DPRK has consistently called for the conclusion of a Peace Treaty between itself and the US. Recently at 70th UN General Assembly the DPRK re-clarified its fair and aboveboard stand to replace the Korean Armistice Agreement (AA) by a peace treaty.
This is a proposal that no one should or indeed can object to . Because of the US
occupation of south Korea and frequent military manoeuvres and provocations against the DPRK the Korean peninsula is like a gunpowder barrel where conflict can ignite within moments. As the DPRK Foreign Ministry says " It is as clear as noonday that if a conflict occurs again in the area along the Military Demarcation Line due to the escalating tension, it will spill over into an uncontrollable all-out war."Concluding a peace treaty and withdrawing US troops from the south of Korea would mean peace and would permanently remove the threat of war.
However rather than taking the road of prudence  and peace the US has chosen to ignore the magnanimous stand of the DPRK of urging a peace treaty and instead of sticking to worn out , discredited reactionary policies .

It is only thanks to the increased nuclear deterrence of the DPRK that war on the  Korean peninsula has not broken out . Peace is indeed on the bayonets of the Korean Peoples Army the invincible revolutionary armed force.

                Our organisations , the ASSPUK, JISGE and UK KFA fully support the call of the DPRK for the conclusion of a permanent peace treaty  and condemn the aggressive and reactionary US imperialists for shunning the conclusion of a peace treaty. Should the US persist in their stance they will suffer the consequences as the revolutionary armed forces of the DPRK can fight any form of war with the US and win.

KCNA Commentary Blasts S. Korean Authorities' Moves for Introduction of "State-compiled Textbooks"

 Pyongyang, October 22 (KCNA) -- The south Korean authorities made public the "system of introducing state-compiled textbooks" for teaching history to the students of the middle and high schools.
    This is aimed to instill reactionary view on history and value into the rising generations in a sinister bid to turn the south Korean society into the one dominated by the "Saenuri Party" and other ultra-right conservative forces and keep escalating criminal confrontation with fellow countrymen and ensure longer stay in power based on it.
    The above-said system was enforced for a considerable time during the Park Chung-hee regime. This was abused for justifying the ruling conservative forces' pro-Japanese and pro-U.S. dictatorship and inciting confrontation with the fellow countrymen.
    The struggle of south Koreans from all walks of life resulted in replacing the system by "the system of screening textbooks" in 2003. But the conservative authorities are making desperate efforts to retrieve the antiquated system from the dumping ground of history.
    The announcement of the controversial system set the stage for adding pages embellishing the past dictatorial era and justifying the moves for confrontation with the fellow countrymen to the history textbooks for middle and high school students.
    This is attributable to the south Korean authorities who are working hard to revive the "yusin" dictatorship, drive the livelihood of people into dire destitution and achieve "unification through absorption" after labeling the fellow countrymen in the north as enemy.
    As a matter of fact, the south Korean authorities have been forsaken by the people for their crimes committed against the nation.
    The daily-mounting anti-"government" struggle of the south Koreans casts dark shadow over the ruling quarters' ambition for a longer stay in power and their confrontation moves.
    Much upset by this, they crafted the above-said system in order to attain their sinister purpose at any cost.
    They claimed that the system is meant for the unity of the people. But this trumpeting only brought to light their ulterior motive to imbue the rising generation with the consciousness of confrontation with the fellow countrymen and fan up extreme hatred for those struggling for justice and progress in a bid to build their support base and realize their ambition for a longer stay in power and "unification through absorption."
    Their moves for enforcing the above-said system are a hideous act of treachery as they are designed to bring the south Korean society back to the dark era and scuttle the efforts for the improvement of the north-south ties.
    South Korean academic, educational and media circles and lots of civic and public organizations have turned out in the actions against the system.
    Those who go against the history and mindset are bound to face miserable self-destruction.
    The south Korean authorities have to face up to the reality and immediately stop the moves.

The UK Korean Friendship Association together with its allied organisations the Association For the Study of Songun Politics UK and the Juche Idea Study Group of England fully support the Appeal issued on the 11th of October in Pyongyang at the preparatory meeting for the 2017 congress praising the great persons of Mt. Paektu  . The meeting was attended by a delegate from our organisations .

We are very pleased to support this appeal . As the appeal says "It is the unanimous desire and will of the world progressives to glorify as an auspicious year common to mankind 2017 marking the 105th birth anniversary of President  Kim Il Sung, the 75th birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il and the 5th anniversary of Marshal Kim Jong Un's election as the supreme leader of the DPRK,"

We view it as extremely important to uphold the achievements and teachings of the great men of Mt Paektu and give wide publicity to them . Indeed the task of publicising the achievements of the great men of Mt Paektu is an integral part of the struggle for independence , progress and socialism.

                          The great leader President KIM IL SUNG is the eternal people's sun , the sun of Juche who authored the immortal Juche idea  the guiding torch for the liberation of humanity from all kinds of oppression.  He defeated two imperialism's-US and Japanese - in one generation and a country of Juche that is independent , self-sufficient and self-reliant on the ruins of war creating a most advantageous socialist system  and peoples paradise .
