UK KFA statement on the 12th anniversary of the June 15 joint Korean declaration

The UK Korean Friendship Association today issued a statement to mark the 12th anniversary of the joint declaration between north and south Korea on June 15th.
             The historic June 15th declaration was bridge over the chasm of national division that had been imposed by outside forces principally the aggressive US imperialists. It was a bridge of hope , a rainbow bridge of unity and reconciliation.
                     The June 15 declaration ushered in the June 15 era of reconciliation and inter-Korean co-operation. It gave the hope of Korean reunification based on the realistic principles and fully based on the concept of "By Our Nation Itself " elaborated by the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il. It fully embodied the Juche-orientated viewpoint on Korean reunification established by the great leader comrade Kim Il Sung and carried forward by the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il.
The June 15 declaration fully represented the will and aspirations of the entire Korean people north and south for peaceful reunification. The June 15 declaration was the precious fruit of the persevering and continuous efforts of the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il who worked day and night for reunification. It was a lofty manifestation of the DPRK's stance fo independent reunification and its profoundly peace-loving policy.
         Regrettably the ideas and concepts of the June 15 declaration have been negated by the fascist Lee Myung Bak puppet regime, the sworn enemies and oppressors of the south Korean people. They have trampled down the June 15 declaration and have opposed reunification.
                We denounce the south Korean puppet regime of Lee Myung Bak for the following acts that are destructive of the June 15 declaration both in letter and in spirit
1. Faking up the Cheonan case against the DPRK. This was clearly a tragic accident caused by incompetence of the south Korean puppet navy but the DPRK was falsely accused of this.
2. Provoking the Yongphyong island incident of November 23 2010.
3.  Declaring an emergency alert and levelling guns against the DPRK when the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il passed away in December 2011.
4. Numerous insults of the supreme leadership of the DPRK and KPA as well constantly slandering the people-centred socialist system in the DPRK
5.  Arresting and imprisoning many pro-reunification patriots and progressive people. Faking up cold-war style spy cases
6. Making south Korea even more dependent on the US and other outside powers.

UK KFA supports the struggle of the Korean people ,north and south, to realise the June 15th declaration in the spirit of "By Our Nation Itself".
