That Kim Jong Un was elected the First Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea at the WPK Fourth Conference held in last April was a historic event that augured a bright future for the DPRK and its people.
Successful Inheritance of Revolutionary Cause of Juche
The Korean people have so far made great achievements: they won historic victories in the anti-Japanese armed struggle for liberation of the country and in the war against aggression of the United States; they successfully carried out the anti-imperialist, anti-feudal democratic revolution, the socialist revolution and several stages of socialist construction; they defended the banner of socialism without the slightest deflection even in the great political disturbances caused by the chain of collapse of socialism in some countries in the end of the 20th century, and ushered in a new era of building a powerful and prosperous country.
The revolutionary cause of Juche which has undergone such a protracted and complicated historical course is to be carried forward by WPK First Secretary Kim Jong Un.
After the sudden death of Kim Jong Il in December last year the world community came to \clearly understand what an excellent successor Kim Jong Un was, witnessing touching realities of Korea. The Kumsusan Memorial Palace, where President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il lie in state, was renamed the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, the statues of Kim Jong Il were erected in an excellent way, and all measures taken in the country were geared to glorify for ever Kim Jong Il’s ideas and exploits and carry on the revolution and construction true to his ideas and intentions. The WPK conference adopted the decision to venerate him as the eternal General Secretary of the WPK.
First Secretary Kim Jong Un is possessed of firm faith in the revolutionary cause of Juche, boundless love for people, outstanding political insight and wisdom and sagacious leadership. He takes definite and stout stands in confrontation with the imperialists who are maneuvering to infringe upon the sovereignty and dignity of Korea.
As the AP commented, he is identical with Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il. In other words, the Korean people have another peerlessly great man at the helm of the WPK.
WPK’s Invincibility to Be Ever Strengthened
The Fourth Conference of the WPK proved to be a new historic landmark in its development. The Party Central Committee headed by First Secretary Kim Jong Un was built up and the unity and cohesion in ideology and purpose of the whole Party around him further consolidated.
He ensures that all Party organizations and officials go among the masses of the people and share the sweets and bitters with them, and enlist them in the efforts to implement the Party policies,  while taking the lead in it. He stresses on the work of information and publicity so that it inspires the Party members to play a vanguard role in building a thriving nation and the entire people to keep step with them. All this shows that under his leadership the Party work is being constantly improved and intensified.
Kim Jong Un has boundless affection for the people. Whenever he inspects army units, he is scrupulous about taking the temperatures of the barracks and mess halls, and even tastes soy sauce himself. He rides machines at a newly-built funfair to confirm their safety before the people would do. As it is led by such a person the WPK is sure to be called a motherly Party by the people for ever and exalt its ever-victorious might, enjoying absolute trust and support of the people.
Sure Guarantee for the Victory in Building a Thriving Nation
Building a thriving country is the most important strategic line put forward by the WPK at present. As Kim Jong Un was elected its First Secretary at this Party Conference Korea’s cause of building a thriving nation will definitely emerge victorious. The sure victory is, first of all, based on the single-hearted unity, the strongest might of Korea, that will be further cemented under the leadership of the WPK headed by him.
Korea has tided over all sorts of difficulties and hardships by dint of the single-hearted unity of the leader, the Party, the army and the people. This single-hearted unity is one of major factors encouraging Korea to work out miraculous achievements in building an economic giant under the extreme sanctions and pressure of the imperialists.
The centre of the single-hearted unity, its nucleus, is the leader.  After the demise of Kim Jong Il the Korean people upheld Kim Jong Un as the centre of the
single-hearted unity. It is evidenced by the photos service personnel and people took with him, all having him in the centre, and arm in arm and shoulder to shoulder with him. The scenes speak eloquently of the unanimous aspirations and firm faith of the Korean people who are desirous of vigorously advancing toward victory in accomplishing the cause of building a thriving socialist
country, rallied firmly around him with one mind and one purpose.

It is no doubt that the tradition of Korea’s single-hearted unity behind him will be further strengthened, and its might will bring about new miracles and innovations in building a powerful and prosperous country.
What makes sure the victory in achieving the cause of building a thriving nation is, secondly, that Kim Jong Un is standing in the van of Korea. He is possessed of all-round and profound knowledge, being well versed in cutting-edge science and technology in particular, of temperament and extraordinary organizational ability to carry through the work that he decided and tackled on, and also of prominent foresight.
He has already demonstrated his profound knowledge of and outstanding leadership on the economic and other sectors while accompanying Kim Jong Il on his field guidance. It is thanks to him that Korea manufactured the parent CNC machine tools by itself, brought about innovations in all sectors of economic construction, and completed such gigantic projects as Huichon Power Station, dwelling houses in Mansudae area, the People’s Theatre and Dolphinarinm that attract the world’s attention.

Accomplishment of the cause of building a thriving nation is not in the distant future for Korea, and its future is rosy and promising.
