A decade has already gone by since the tragic news broke about the demise of the Great Kim Jong IL, but the pain of the loss still remains for the Progressive peoples of the world. This significant anniversary will give us the opportunity to reflect on the varied and vast accomplishments of Kim Jong IL. In such a short speech it will be difficult to express the magnitude of Chairman Kim Jong IL's life and work.”

He said that “During the past 10 years the amount of construction  carried out by the DPRK has been phenomenal  . I visited the DPRK for the second time in 2012 ,this time in September 5 months after my previous visit .Changjon Street and a new People’s Theatre had been built . This was followed by the construction  of  Mirae Scientists Street , Ryomyong Street  , a whole new city at Samjiyon  plus many cultural ,recreational, health and educational facilities such as the Rungna People’s Pleasure Park , the Munsu Water Park , the Okryu Children's Hospital and many others  to name just a few . These projects if built in the so-called developed capitalist countries would cost billions upon billions of pounds to build .

This amazing pace of construction , which I do not think is matched anywhere else in the world, has not been carried out in ideal conditions but under harsh sanctions . “
