The Association For the Study of Songun Politics UK(ASSPUK),the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea (BGSJI),the UK Korean Friendship Association(UK KFA) and the British Committee for Peace and Reunification on the Korean Peninsula (BSCPRKP) issued a joint statement denouncing the latest US sanctions against People's Korea;
Recently the US imposed new sanctions on the Democratic People's Republic of Korea . This time the US has targeted the famous April 26 Animation Studio or SEK as well as the Central Prosecutors Office of the DPRK and comrade Ri Yong Gil the Minister of National Defence of the DPRK . The sanctions are most unjust and unfair and are aimed at stifling the DPRK and bringing down the socialist system . The sanctions are blatant interference in the affairs of the DPRK.
The alleged or supposed pretext for the sanctions is the so-called ‘human rights ‘ issue in the DPRK .However , explicitly speaking there is no human rights issue in the DPRK . People are the masters of everything and form a single harmonious whole . They are guaranteed rights such as housing ,employment as well as free health care and free education . It is the US which is the biggest human rights violator . In the US police violence and racism are widespread and many people live in poverty .
We strongly denounce the new sanctions and call for stepping up solidarity with People’s Korea .
