                                        London 9th of May Juche 108(2019)
 The Association for the Study of Songun Politics UK(ASSPUK), the Juche Idea Study Group of England (JISGE) ,the UK Korean Friendship Association(UK KFA) and the British Solidarity Committee for the Peace and Reunification in the Korean Peninsula(BSCPRKP) issued a joint statement concerning the attitude of some countries to the recent strike drill of the Korean People's Army;
  A spokesperson for the DPRK Foreign Ministry on the 8th of May stated that the DPRK that a " strike drill was conducted in the East Sea of Korea on May 4, the purpose of which was to check the operating ability of large-calibre long-range multiple rocket launchers and tactical guided weapons, the accuracy in mission fulfilment and the combat performance of military equipment of the defense units in the front line area and on the eastern front and, on this occasion, to further galvanize the entire army into the movement for becoming crack shots and make thorough preparations for combat mobilisation at all times." . This clarifies that the drill carried out by the DPRK was a normal and a routine one. There is no reason for any country to take issue with this or make a fuss .Many countries in the world are carrying military exercises and drills so there is no reason whatsoever to single out and scapegoat the DPRK
  Some countries have branded this routine self-defensive drill as provocative  but have said nothing about the provocative military exercises staged by the US and south Korea ,such as Dong Maeng (Alliance) 19-1  aimed at invading People's Korea and rehearsing regime change scenarios. Also the measures taken by the DPRK to defuse tension  such as not testing ICBMs and dismantling its nuclear test site in the north of the country have been ignored.
 Our organisations strongly denounce those hostile forces taking issue with the DPRK's routine self-defensive drills and support the warning given by the DPRK Foreign Ministry spokesperson.
 It is our conviction that more should be done to campaign in support of the proactive mesures taken by the DPRK to ease tensions on the Korean peninsula.
HANDS OFF PEOPLE'S KOREA !
