Leader Kim Jong Il devoted his all to the welfare of people. He found his happiness in giving them the best things in the world and seeing them enjoy a happy life.

The following happened when he gave field guidance in Hamhung city on June 29, Juche 70(1981).

He called at a newly built Hamhung Dental Hospital.

He was very pleased to see an up-to-date dental hospital in Hamhung city where many workers were living. He dropped in at a treatment room on the second floor. He stopped before a universal dental chair which was up-to-date equipment.

An official said: Foreign specialists remarked that other countries bought the equipment exclusively for the treatment of their heads of state such as presidents or kings. They wondered how Korea was going to install it at a local hospital.

At this leader Kim Jong Il said:

“For kings only? Then it is a problem that we have no king in our country.” All those present broke into laughter. “But do not worry”, he continued, “Since in our country the people are masters, they will use it. The workers themselves should sit here.”

Leaving the hospital, Kim Jong Il said it is of no use only to propagandize that we built a large hospital and provided it with up-to-date equipment. We should make people benefit from it.

Now our workers and other people are enjoying the benefit of universal free medical service on the up-to-date universal dental chair.
