Admiration of Carter
President
Kim Il Sung was
the father of people with warm human love.
The following is an anecdote of
it.
In the summer of Juche 83(1994)
Jimmy Carter, ex-president of the U.S. visited the DPRK.
President
Kim Il Sung
had a chat with Carter aboard a pleasure boat on the Taedong River.
The boat was passing by a place
after leaving Pyongyang.
All of a sudden Kim
Il Sung summoned
a member of his suit and instructed him to slow the speed of the
boat.
Wondering to see the boat
slowing, Carter asked the reason.
Kim Il Sung pointed
at the riverside with his hand, saying:
“Look. Working people are
fishing there.
If we make waves run high, it
will disturb them.
We’d better go a little slowly
not to disturb them.”
Carter was struck with
admiration.
He had neither thought of nor
imagined such a reality.
