ASSPUK, JISGE and UK KFA on the Illegal Sale of the Hall of CHONGRYON in Tokyo

The  UK Korean Friendship Association together the ASSPUK and Juche Idea Study Group issued a joint statement concerning the issue  of the sale of the land  and buildings of t.he Korean Hall of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan;
It is outrageous that the hall belonging to CHONGRYON  (the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan ) is being sold by underhand methods.



CHONGRYON(the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan) is a dignified overseas compatriots organisation of Korean residents. The action of the Japanese authorities is clearly institutionally racist and bordering on fascism. This is also a manifestation of the hostile policy of the Japan towards the Democratic People's Republic of Korea as CHONGRYON acts as the de facto embassy of the DPRK in Japan. Thus it is an unwarranted action and a serious affront both to the dignity of the DPRK as well Korean residents in Japan. It is gross interference in the affairs of the DPRK .
These actions by the Japanese authorities show that they are not committed to human rights and ill treat racial minorities within their borders.

                                  This action of the Japanese authorities is very harmful to the sound development of DPRK-Japan relations
ASSPUK, JISGE and UK KFA demand that the Japanese authorities cease their underhand and unfair moves  against CHONGRYON and revoke their hostile policy towards the DPRK . We express full solidarity with CHONGRYON.
