Rodong Sinmun Clarifies Fundamental Principle to Be Maintained in Struggle against Imperialism

Pyongyang, February 6 (KCNA) -- It is a fundamental principle to be consistently adhered to by all countries and nations to firmly protect and meet the independent requirements and interests of the popular masses, says Rodong Sinmun Thursday in an article.
Noting the international situation remains very complicated, the article goes on:
The imperialists are openly perpetrating military intervention and acts of aggression against sovereign states, seriously infringing upon the sovereignty of some countries.
Due to the imperialists' outrageous moves for aggression and pressure, some countries are now yielding to them and compromising with them, failing to say what they should do.
A typical example of this is the situation in Iraq.
History shows that if a country takes a step back in face of threats of the imperialists, it has to make two steps back, compelling itself to make ten steps back, and finally it will not be able to accomplish the popular masses' cause of independence.
The victory of the cause of independence is unthinkable without a struggle against the imperialists.
One should not harbor even an iota of illusion about the imperialists but stage an uncompromising struggle against them without making even the slightest concession.
The imperialists and all class enemies are now expecting some "changes" to take place in the countries aspiring after independence against imperialism.
However, countries strong in their principle and the peoples who adhere to it will neither collapse nor be conquered. This is the truth proved by history. -
