ASSPUK and JISGE statement on the 50th anniversary of the publication of the "Socialist Rural Theses "

The Association for the Study of Songun Politics and the Juche Idea Study Group of England issued a joint statement on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the publication of the immortal classic work "Theses on the Socialist Rural Question In Our Country" by the great leader President Kim Il Sung ;
                            It is 50 years since the great leader President Kim Il Sung made public his great programme for the development of socialist agriculture  "  "Theses on the Socialist Rural Question In Our Country" . This was made public at the 8th plenary meeting of of the 4th central committee of the Workers' Party of Korea on the 25th of February 1964.
 In the theses the great leader President Kim Il Sung put forward fundamental principles to be  adhered in socialist rural construction;

First, the technological, cultural and ideological revolutions should be thoroughly carried out in the rural areas;

“Second, the working-class leadership of the peasantry, the assistance of industry to agriculture, and the support of the towns to the countryside should be strengthened in every way;

“Third, the guidance and management of agriculture should be continu­ally brought closer to the advanced level of enterprise management of industry, the bonds between all-people property and cooperative property should be strengthened, and cooperative property should be steadily brought closer to property of the whole people.”

                These principles were deeply profound and intelligent. They provided true guidelines for the construction of socialism in the countryside which was a cardinal issue those countries emerging from colonialism . At the time no clear cut solution had been found to the rural question in socialist countries. Rightist and Leftist deviations resulted in serious mistakes been made in some countries. The "Theses on the Socialist Rural Question in our Country " avoided Rightist and leftist deviations , it charted the correct path for socialist agriculture.  The "Theses " put forward most revolutionary lines such as carrying out the  ideological , technical and cultural revolutions in the rural areas and bringing co-operative property  closer to all-people property . 
                      Great achievements were made in the DPRK's socialist agriculture  as a result of the implementation of the  " Theses On the Socialist Rural Question in Our Country "; irrigation and electrification were pushed forward and complete as well mechanisation. Grain production soared , increasing several times compared to pre-liberation levels as dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un said
"Since the rural theses was made public, sea changes have been witnessed in socialist rural construction in our country.
The ideological and cultural revolutions have been promoted successfully in the countryside, with the result that the ideological and spiritual qualities of our agricultural working people have been transformed remarkably and a great development has also been achieved in the realm of cultural life in the countryside. Today our agricultural working people have become dependable fighters on the socialist agricultural front who, equipped with the Juche idea and Songun idea and firmly rallied behind the Party and their leader, work devotedly to execute the Party's agricultural policies. Their cultural and technical standards have been raised beyond comparison, the rural villages turned into socialist cultured ones, and thus the differences between the urban and rural areas in the cultured living conditions reduced considerably. With the forceful promotion of the technological revolution in the countryside, great strides have been made in irrigation, introducing electricity and machinery in farm work, applying agrochemicals and realigning the farmland across the country as befits that of a socialist country, and the material and technological foundations of agriculture have been consolidated"

A bright vista for achieving a truly socialist and modernised agriculture in the  DPRK has been opened by the "Theses on the Socialist Rural Question  ".  The DPRK's socialist agriculture is admired by the revolutionary and progressive people of the world.
The "Theses On the Socialist Rural Question in Our Country " remains as valid today as it was 50 years. It is a great banner for building socialist agriculture and provides a complete solution to rural question. The ASSPUK and JISGE are totally convinced under the leadership of the dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN new and great achivements will be made under the banner of the "Theses on the Socialist Rural Question "
