UK KFA statement on the 21st anniversary of the appointment of the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il as KPA supreme commander

                    The UK Korean Friendship Association issued the following statement on the occasion of the 21st anniversary of the assumption of the post of Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army by the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il.
       24th December is the 21st anniversary of the appointment of the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il as Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army. This was a a most important post as comrade Kim Jong Il assumed responsibility for commanding the revolutionary armed forces of Korea which stands on the front-line against imperialism.
                    The great leader comrade Kim Jong Il followed in the footsteps of the great leader President Kim Il Sung the ever-victorious iron willed commander of Mt Paektu. The cause of Juche army building was carried forward admirably under Supreme Commander Kim Jong Il's leadership. The KPA's strength has increased greatly and it became an armed force equipped with the latest technology including a nuclear deterrent and long range missiles.
        Thanks to the efforts of comrade Kim Jong Il in building the armed forces on the Juche principle, peace was ensured on the Korean peninsula as well as world peace. The independence of the DPRK was firmly maintained by the might of the DPRK 's armed forces commanded by the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il.
   The work of the great leader generalissimo Kim Jong Il is now actively carried forward by his successor dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un who has assumed the supreme commandership of the KPA.
