The Association for the Study of Songun Politics UK and the Juche Idea Study Group of England issuing the follow statement in support of the decision made to
institute the International Kim Jong Il Prize ;
We warmly applaud the creation of an International Kim Jong Il Prize announced on the 21st of December to mark the 21st anniversary of the appointment of the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il as supreme commander of the Korean People's Army.
The creation of the prize is a token of the deep respect of the world progressive peoples , Juche idea followers and Songun idea followers have for the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il the eternal chairman of the National Defence Commission who blazed the trail for human independence . Because ofhis great ideological and theoretical achievements in developing and enhancing the Juche Idea the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il is held in high esteem by the progressive and revolutionary peoples of the world.
Also because of his role in defending socialism in the critical period when socialism had been frustrated in a number of countries the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il is highly revered by the working people of the worldand the international communist movement. The Songun politics administered by the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il led the DPRK to shining victory over imperialism and created a powerful mode of anti imperialist politics for the world.
Thus we Juche Idea and Songun idea followers on hearing the decision to institute the International Kim Jong Il feel the need to study the Juche idea and Songun idea more deeply and to redouble our efforts to propagate the great
ideology of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism. We feel greatly encouraged by this
decision
