The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea has upgraded its multiple rocket launcher system, mainly geared to striking an area, into one with pinpoint accuracy. On May 10, it test-fired the controllable shells of the updated 240mm multiple rocket launcher system, with the hitting accuracy on a par with that of a sniper rifle.
According to local media, the updated version has an automatic fire combined control system, and it will replace the existing launchers of the units of the Korean People’s Army from 2024 to 2026. A remarkable progress is expected to be made in strengthening the KPA’s artillery capabilities.
