KFA UK statement on British participation in "Freedom Shield "

The Korean Friendship Association of the UK issued the following statement ;

We are appalled to learn that Britain is participating in the aggressive Freedom Shield military exercises in south Korea which are being staged by the US and south Korea .The exercises started on the 4th of March .

 The Freedom Shield exercises are aggressive in intent .They are aimed at intimidating the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK)as well as practising the invasion of the DPRK  and overthrowing the socialist system in the DPRK .

Exercises such as Freedom Shield greatly heighten tension and increase the prospect of war breaking out on the Korean peninsula and the Asia-Pacific region .

The presence of British forces in these exercises make Britain complicit in both warmongering and aggression not to mention the insidious and toxic schemes of the US and south Korea for ‘regime change ‘ and the colonisation of the DPRK.

It is a blatant waste of taxpayers money to send British forces to the other side of the world ! Britain should solve its own problems before interfering in other countries .

Britain should not be propping up the south Korean fascist puppet regime and US imperialism !

We demand an end to British involvement on the Korean peninsula and the withdrawal of British forces.
