Pyongyang, December 13 (KCNA) -- Regarding it as his lifetime motto to believe in the people as in Heaven, Chairman Kim Jong Il made ceaseless journey of devotion and loving care for them. He gave field guidance to many units to improve the people's standard of living in Juche 100 (2011), the last year of his revolutionary life, and made tireless efforts day and night.
The Chairman, who took the lead in the general advance toward the year 2012 marking the centenary of the birth of President Kim Il Sung, was on a high-intensity forced march for field guidance to provide the people with a rich and civilized life till the last moments of his revolutionary life.
With his noble and great ambition to bring about a decisive turn in improving the people's standard of living by developing the light industry, he gave field guidance to leading large-scale chemical bases and light industrial establishments on dozens of occasions in that year alone.
He had continued his field guidance to all parts of the country including farms, livestock and fish farming bases.
Looking round the 2nd Commodity Exhibition at Pyongyang Department Store No. 1 in the hot weather of July, he gave important guidelines for developing the light industry. He also visited the Pyongyang Vegetable Science Institute and the Pothongmun Street Fish and Meat Shop and showed great love and trust in their officials and employees so that they could do more work for the people.
Seeing flowers in full bloom at greenhouses of the Pyongyang Floriculture Institute, he called for building more flower shops. He even tasted the noodle and dish at a noodle house in a mine village, thinking of the pleasure of the people.
Thanks to his devoted efforts, the people's laughter and songs resounded far and wide at the Central Zoo, the Amusement Park of the Kaeson Youth Park and other cultural and emotional bases.
In December, too, he, though being in a bad state of health, visited the Hana Musical Information Centre and the Kwangbok Area Supermarket with great satisfaction and took a benevolent measure for supplying tasty fish to the citizens of the capital city.
The year 2011, when the peerlessly great man made a high-intensity forced march for the good of the people, was the one of devoted service for the people comprehensively showing his sacred revolutionary career for the people. -0-
