Pyongyang, December 22 (KCNA) -- The Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) on December 21 made public a detailed report on the heroic merits and patriotic deeds of the Korean children recorded in the history of the Juche revolution.
According to the report, the tradition of the Korean children's movement was provided along with the feats of the Anti-Japanese Children's Corps members who turned out in the armed struggle in their early years and made an unprecedented history of juvenile heroes, covering the path of revolution.
The Korean children's enthusiasm for the revolution and patriotic fever were displayed along with the founding of the Korean Children's Union (KCU), a Juche-oriented revolutionary organization of the children, on June 6, Juche 35 (1946).
Shining in the history of the country are the bravery and merits of the KCU members who organized the children's guards and guerillas and fought bravely during the grim Fatherland Liberation War.
The spirit and tradition of heroic feats of the young revolutionaries and patriots have been carried forward and fully displayed in the annals of socialist construction.
The KCU members' patriotic devotion and loyalty to the motherly Party and the socialist motherland providing them with the happiest life in the world have grown higher in the new century of Juche.
The love of the respected Marshal Kim Jong Un for the younger generation has made schoolchildren more firmly grow up to be reliable pillars of the revolution.
The mental world of our schoolchildren following only the fatherly Marshal in any adversity and preparing themselves as the reliable children's guards has further developed, displaying the deeds of thrilling the times.
In the new century of Juche alone, more than 2 000 schoolchildren were awarded Kim Il Sung Children Honor Prize and Kim Jong Il Children Honor Prize.
The large contingent of our reliable young revolutionaries who have created the tradition of loyalty and patriotism under the guidance of the great leaders is a strong pillar supporting powerful socialist Korea and a bloodline guaranteeing the invincibility of the revolutionary cause of Juche, the report said. -0-
