Foolish Act Hastens Its Downfall

 2022.5.17.

A so-called joint statement was announced at the G7 foreign ministerial meeting held recently in Germany, picking on our measures for strengthening self-defensive capabilities and “human rights issue.”

The joint statement is a product of extreme prejudice and double standard lacking even a basic appearance as a document of the international conference, as it is a facsimile of vicious anti-DPRK hostile tone of the United States.

It is too axiomatic that we can never expect any impartiality or objectivity from G7, which has moved only following the baton of the U.S., as a tool for interfering in internal affairs of the sovereign states and infringing upon their sovereignty.

In fact, G7 has completely lost its moral high ground to say this and that about other countries long time ago.

It is none other than the member states of G7 posing as “defenders of international peace and security”, who do not hesitate to undermine security environment of sovereign states, and to stir up distrust and confrontation between countries to realize their hegemonic ambitions.

G7 brought social upheaval and unprecedented humanitarian crisis, and trampled underfoot the right to existence and development of the countless people in Iraq, Libya and Afghanistan. This is what G7 has left in its bloodstained history.

Just for this reason, the international society is raising voices that G7, a leftover of the old times that had a long innings, must shift its position to G20 as soon as possible and disappear from the stage of history.

If G7 truly wants peace and stability on the Korean peninsula, it should first put in question the hostile policy and military threats of the U.S. which stages aggressive war drills by bringing in strategic assets to the Korean peninsula and to the waters off it, rather than taking issue with our state over the exercise of its legitimate and normal right to self-defense.

As G7 impudently interferes in internal affairs of other countries and misleads world public opinion, it will only result in hastening its downfall.
