The Association for the Study of Songun Politics UK(ASSPUK), the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea (BGSJI) , UK Korean Friendship Association (UK KFA ) and the British Solidarity Committee for Peace and Reunification on the Korean Peninsula(BSCPRKP) issued the following joint statement condemning the so-called G7 foreign ministers statement about an alleged Intercontinental Ballistic Missile test by People's Korea ;
On the 30th of May the G7 Foreign ministers which included the USA , EU , UK , France and others issued a statement condemning People's Korea for an alleged test of an Inter-Continental Ballistic Missile(ICBM ) on the 25th of May . However no such test was confirmed by the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK ) and even if a missile was tested there is no confirmation that it was an ICBM.
It is absurd for the US led G7 imperialist bloc to loudly condemn an unconfirmed test of an unknown missile type . It is really jumping to wild conclusions.
Even if the DPRK did test an ICBM , it is well within its rights to do so . It is the independent sovereign right of the DPRK to test missiles on its own territory . Moreover DPRK weapons tests are essentially self-defensive in nature . The DPRK is under threat from the US , south Korea and Japan . Ironically the G7 countries account for most of the military spending in the world and several of these countries have themselves carried out both ICBM tests and nuclear tests .Therefore their condemnation of the DPRK is two-faced and hypocritical .
The G7 statement tramples upon the DPRK's rights to self-defence and is a violation of its sovereignty . Moreover the call for the unilateral abandonment by the DPRK of " weapons of mass destruction and ballistic missile programs in a complete, verifiable and irreversible manner' , is a call for the overthrow of the socialist system in the DPRK and its colonization . The G7 also repeat the call made previously for the DPRK to open up to the fake humanitarian 'aid ' of imperialism . This is also a demand for regime change It is a lie by the G7 Foreign Ministers that there is a ".dire humanitarian situation" in the DPRK . Nothing could be further from the truth . Citizens of the DPRK enjoy free health care , free educatio and virtually free housing . During the emergency situation food and medicine were supplied to the people and the Korean People's Army mobilised to deal the epidemic . The DPRK has brought the Covid 19 epidemic under control . It is the G7 countries and souht Korea which have experienced a high death toll from Covid 19 , not the DPRK .
The G7 should stop acting as a puppet of the US and should stop interfering in the affairs of the DPRK and instead concencentrate on solving their own problems before they poke their noses into other's business !
