ASSPUK, JISGE and UK KFA slam scheme to set up "UN Human rights office for the north " in south Korea

       The ASSPUK, Juche Idea Study Group of England and UK Korean Friendship Association issued the following joint statement in connection with the scheme of the south Korean puppets to establish a so-called "UN Office for Human Rights in the north ".
         It is indeed laughable that a "UN Human Rights office " should be established in south Korea which is a country of fascist dictatorship where human rights are brutally suppressed. South Korea has the "national security law "  which criminalises and oppresses pro-DPRK and leftist activities. At present many pro-reunification activists such as Ro Su Hui, Rev Han Sang Ryol and Lee Seok Ki are imprisoned . In the past south Korea executed many south Korean revolutionaries and communists .
                          As the DPRK Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of Korea
states  "By origin, the farce of setting up the UN "Office for Human Rights" was staged by the U.S. to interfere in the internal affairs of other countries and bring down their social systems only to be bitterly censured by public in various countries for its illegal and provocative nature.
    The U.S. has malignantly slandered for no reason the DPRK in which the genuine life of the popular masses is ensured at the highest level by law and institutional mechanisms and kicked up a human rights campaign against it. Not content with this, the U.S. is working hard to set up the above-said office."

    Basically the so-called " UN Office for human rights in  the north " is an attempt  to create an institutional mechanism  to interfere in the affairs of the DPRK and ultimately overthrow the Juche-based people-centred socialist system . As to the so-called UN panel on human rights and commission of inquiry into human rights these are but marionettes and playthings of US imperialism.
            Our organisations , the ASSPUK , JISGE and UK KFA , totally concur with the Committee For Peaceful Reunification of Korea that the so-called "UN Office for human rights in the north " will in fact become a theatre of confrontation against the DPRK and will seriously harm inter-Korean relations and the prospects for peaceful independent reunification .

       We say that the scheme to set up the "UN Office of human rights in the north " should be abandoned at once.
