London 15th January Juche 101(2012)
The Association for the Study of Songun Politics of the UK together with the Juche Idea Study of England today issued the following statement.
We are very pleased to read the special report of the Political Bureau of the Workers' Party of Korea issued on the 12th of January which states that
"reflecting the unanimous desire and ardent request of all party members, service personnel and people to hold the great leader Comrade Kim Jong Il in high esteem as the eternal leader of the Party and the revolution, glorify his sacred revolutionary life and undying revolutionary feats forever and surely carry to completion the revolutionary cause of Juche started in Mt. Paektu:
1. The great leader Comrade Kim Jong Il will be laid in state at the Kumsusan Memorial Palace, the sacred temple of Juche.
2. The statue of the great leader Comrade Kim Jong Il will be erected with respect.
3. February 16, the greatest auspicious holiday of the nation when the great leader Comrade Kim Jong Il was born, will be instituted as the Day of the Shining Star.
4. Portraits of the great leader Comrade Kim Jong Il with smile on his face and towers to his immortality will be built across the country."
We applaud this decision as it fully reflects the will of the Korean people to eternally respect the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il ,fully revering him. Juche idea and Songun idea followers will also uphold the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il as the creator of the Songun idea and defender of the independent cause of the world people.
It is just and fitting that a statue of the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il should be erected. As a man of great humility and one who put the people and country , first, second and third , comrade Kim Jong Il refused to allow his own statue to be be built. Now it is a pressing need for such a statue to be constructed to reflect the earnest yearning of the Korean and world people for him.
We together with the Korean people and world progressive people observe the Day of the Shining Star and also pay homage to the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il laying in state at the Kumusan Memorial Palace.
