Wherein Lies the Future of Mankind?

The homeless in the United States surged by 18%, reaching the record high of 770,000 in January 2024, according to the recent report released by the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
The report presents a full picture of the American society to the international community - its corruption and its spiritual underpinning: The rich get ever richer and the poor get ever poorer.
European countries like France, the UK and Germany are vying with the U.S. in the number of the homeless, amounting to more than a million.
The catch-22 situation persists where one cannot get a job without permanent residence and one cannot afford a residence without wages, as was reported in detail by several foreign media.
Then what is the reason why so many people are reduced to beggars in the streets in western countries despite their much-boasted-of civilization, highly developed economy and vast wealth?
It’s because the capitalist system itself is based on extreme egoism, an anti-popular system that is meant to defend the interests of privileged minority only, without paying any heed to the rights and interests of the working majority.
Only a handful of rich people are extravagantly tasting all sorts of delicacies on the New Year downtown, while a huge number of people with no home and no money are looking up to the sky shivering with cold in search of a savior – such is the plight of the capitalist society that has no future whatsoever.
Quite the contrary, it has become a daily scene in our country that people across the country are seen on media singing and dancing at their housewarming celebrations.
Many people who grew up without even knowing what it was like to be homeless have now moved to better dwellings, more modern and larger and free of charge thanks to the socialist welfare policy.
They are now expressing their gratitude saying that they feel as if they moved to the super-luxury apartments of Kyongru-dong in the capital city of Pyongyang and that their new houses with lovely attics and balconies are more like villas, not simply apartment houses.
This naturally gains admiration of the whole world.
The happiness of our people greeting the New Year in cozy, bright and warm dwellings is an eloquent testimony to the fact that the future of mankind lies in socialism and socialism is the very ideal of people.
